Is gta online still knackered?

Speculation is that they're either fitting a firewall or screwing all the modders and taking their money?

So I noticed some minor "upgrades" to stuff in the game today.
First thing I noticed was the garage at Unit 2 Poplar St. There is now an opening and closing, sliding type of fence before driving into the lane.
Then there is the fence around the petrol station nearby and I have noticed some random bollards in places that didnt have them as well as those little huts that hold electric wiring and stuff like that

Whats the deal with online on the PC and joining up with a Boards crew for heists etc? Is there a regular group that is online playing together? I've a few people on my friends list but haven't seen any calls for heists or missions. Getting stuck with randomers is doing my nut in.

Next update will have access to Bahamas & Mamas. I believe the wall breach to gain access has been patched, but it is fairly impressive inside. Still no word on the casino opening though :mad:

That's a weird addition, especially for 'the coming months'. I wonder what it will be used for. R* said there won't be another heist for some time as they are not easy/quick to do. The only other thing I can see keeping Online fresh is the casino but they definitely need to make a substantial addition. I'd pay for a big update at this stage.

Ya, I'd agree that a substantial update is required to keep it interesting. It was grand around the time of the heists etc but I've noticed a lot of lads who were on around then have dropped off completely as it's just back to the same old craic - I've not really bothered with it as much myself the last while.

I think the Casino would change it up a bit, but they'd need to be sure there's plenty of games in it and not just a couple of card games and slot machines or whatever. They'd also need to be sure you can actually win AND lose your boll*cks. The ability to buy a house in the hills would be a nice touch too - something like Michael's house in the city or Madrazo's a bit further out. Apartments are grand and all, but I've often driven around the nice areas and thought 'a gaf here would be sweet'. They also need an injection of fresh motors. The ones from the Heist update were a bit crappy bar maybe the Insurgents. Submarine shenanigans would be cool, new subs and boats with missiles and a bit of a 'Hunt for Red October' vibe where you have limited visibility of their location. Air strikes without the flare, maybe laser-guided ones that you can do from distance/on the sly.

It's hard to see where they can go after the Casino opening or new heists, though.

Oh, and ban whacky races. Ban them to hell.

Speaking of which, great news for all Whacky Races fans. This Friday I'm debuting a brand new playlist I compiled, called "FTS!" (F*** This S***!).

Inspired by certain crew members' love of all things Whacky Races, I've selected what I call, the fillet of whacky races.

Stock up on the whiskey/Pi$$wa$$er/PROXIMITY and prepare to say "FTS!!!" many times over.

I don't think there's any new upgrade Rockstar can release that people won't get bored of after a few weeks.

What would the casino do to improve the game? If people want money they just glitch, or actually play the game to earn the money, both easy options. And what do you spend all that money on when you eventually own everything in the game?

It would be fun to play blackjack & roulette but I'd say most people would quickly get bored like they did with heists once the initial novelty wears out. If people just want a casino to play poker maybe they should just stick with proper online poker. The game is GTA, not gambling. On the flip side, if the casino was popular you could have a situation where most players spend all their time there trying to win money instead of playing races etc.

Russian Roulette would be pretty quality. 10k to enter, 6 lads in. You lose, you're dead and down 10k. You win and you better head straight for passive mode in Freeroam!

Mugged a few lads for 10k the last few days, delighted with meself each time. Only wished I'd been closer to kill the mugger.

I still haven't touched Online at all, haven't even created a character. Been having so much fun with SP & the editor though will have to give it a crack at the weekend.

A nightclub? You have got to be kidding. What are we supposed to do with that? Pick our dance music and time the buttons to dance in tune with the music along with other online players? I can see the excitement lasting all of 5 seconds. They better have something good up their sleeves, because a nightclub update sounds like a big letdown.

BAR FIGHTS!!

It will be a slobberknocker, other players can throw weapons to you, you get to beat up people and take their money and if you time it right, you get to hit a roundhouse kick!

Or maybe it will just be a pool table and we can play pool!

I've just been reported apparently. Playing snipers and stunters and was brutal at first. Then got 4 kills three rounds in a row.

Got warning that player voting for me to be kicked. Finished 19 and 8 anyway and we still lost overall.

Then I get a pm saying "denuciado" which I worked out is Spanish for reported. What the hell did he think I was doing like, invincible or something? I died 8 times for Christ sake.

Probably just sore about being killed but it's annoying when you genuinely do well for someone to do that.

Only 6 days until I get the monthly bonus for the dailys and one of today's is to play a 1 on 1 deathmatch. Been trying with ages but no1 will join, is there any other way to do it
