A glitch since the heist update appears to be all your stats appearing lower than they are on the mission lobby while waiting for players to join and for it to launch. If you check it normally it should be fine.

If that's not what the case is here the I apologise and just ignore me. Haven't turned it on in a month, better check and make sure my character is still great at everything. Only stat left to fill for me is strength.

Yeah as far as I know it's just a glitch that appears on the heists lobby. It seems to match your strength stat for some reason. It is actually full but just shows as being low.

Game is a pain in the neck all day. Every now and then everybody gets kicked from the session, decided to do a few heists today, spent the last 1.5 hours trying to join and between people quitting out, the session is full error and having to quit back to dashboard to be able to launch any jobs I've literally done nothing but waist time. Players letting you drive all the way up north of the map and then quitting, it seems like they're doing it on purpose but I don't know why somebody would. Then having to wait for ages in loading screens which seem to be getting longer.

So many problems on the Xbox 360 the last few weeks it's barely playable anymore. Not just me neither as everybody else has been having the same ones. Between glitches, errors and d**khead players the game is becoming a chore to play.

I have been lucky in that I have had no issue at all with the XBO
I get into a session easily enough and if I go through the pause menu to join a friend, it actually happens unless the lobby is full and thats rare.

Finding lag in the game has become crippling g the last 10 days or so so much that it's unplayable for me when coming across other human players! Wonder why that is has never been as bad

Couldn't get on at all last night, disk kept freezing up at the load screen. I think its my machine more so than the game at this stage though. Its a 40 gb machine I got about 6 months after launch. Jesus it'll be 8 years old this Christmas!

Hadn't played in 2 months, turned it on over the weekend, and have had 0 issues, probably an issue down your own end, was having a chat with some of the other lads, in game, about their experiences connection wise, in the time I had been away, no bad reports from anyone there either..

I don't suppose anyone's heard of any forthcoming updates, DLC or anything? Could do with a bit of an injection, in all fairness.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 953 ✭✭✭TacoMan

They should release a High Life 2 dlc. Casino opens, new vehicles/clothes, access to buy mansions. Not going to happen any time soon (and most likely spread over a few updates), but online has gone a little stale and if it wasn't for the adventures with the crew I'd probably just log on, do the daily objectives, dupe/sell a Panto and log off again.

I suspect the next dlc will involve something for 4th July, which may just be a rehash of the last one ('murica clothing, fireworks, put the Liberator on sale again for anyone silly enough to want one/missed it the first time around ;) )

New clothes and an ould jeep aren't going to hold the interest for long. The casino and mansions mightn't be too bad but how long the novelty of either will last is up in the air. The mansions should come with an option of buying mad stuff for them - a tennis court, or a couple of tigers for the garden instead of guard dogs :pac: The opportunity to break into someone's mansion to steal from them would be funny too, so you would have to fork out on security or whatever. They should add more beards and haircuts in - an ould 'fro with a big grandad beard down to your goolies would look class.

I've done my share, but you'd wonder how much glitching is killing the game off too? Remember the Rusty Rebel glitch all you saw in freeroam was lads in passive running from the house to LSC, similar with the cargobob ones recently.

I've wondered about the potential damage caused by glitching too. (IMHO) R* releases dlc for 30% entertainment benefit and 70% business gain. Their main aim is to get people suckers buying shark cards. So now that everyone is running around with millions to their name it neutralises the shark cards.

I doubt they'll take all the glitched cash off players as it would take forever, and tricky to execute (our recent gains still only show up as money made from car sales - nothing about dupes, glitsches, Louis, Ninjas, MenWithoutShade, "just hit the f'n rock!" etc). Maybe they could just set all accounts back to 2m or so? Or maybe they'll release a DLC with properties/vehicles that cost an arm and a leg in the hope of wiping out the majority of the glitched money with $20m mansions etc.

They reset everyone's accounts after the money gifters of 2013 and this is the main reason I'll never buy a shark card. Imagine paying €70 for $8m only to get your account reset to 1.5 or whatever it was. The prices are scandalous and only proper fools buy shark cards imo. If R* set a reasonable price of lets say $1m in-game for €1 or €2, sales would go through the roof, and as we know $1 - 2m doesn't last very long, so it would be a regular earner from R*s perspective.

Off-topic, but maybe the next dlc will be the movie creator or whatever it's called on PC coming to all consoles, there were rumours of this last week iirc.

If it was a couple of euro per million I'd probably max out the credit card, take a screenshot of my bank balance and post it alongside a picture of me in the nip bath living room smoking a cigar and giving Proco and JohnnyReynolds the two fingers! :pac:

But in all seriousness, think you could be on to something there Phobos. Would people have bothered their holes with the Rusty Rebel glitch if they could have a mill for 2/3 euro? I probably wouldn't have.

Movie creator wouldn't interest me that much, tbh. Now a jet pack like in SA, that I'd be willing to fork out on!

I'd pay a quid or two for a million alright. The prices they have now are mental.

    Anyone online now? PS3

I was looking through the updates going back and we are due something around now. It's always around 3 months between updates when they release something new. I'd be even happy with new stuff to buy every now and then. Like holiday specific updates, at least it gives you something new to buy. Limited time things would be handy, showing off to your friends because they missed out.

I don't know if offering shark cards for cheap will solve anything, it just means everybody who put in hours/days doing endless missions or survivals to buy things will be losing out because everybody else can just spend a euro or two and have the same stuff. Takes away some of the fun for the game.

They should have to spend the same amount of time running and hiding from higher levels like we did at the start :D

Imo they need to do an update that brings boats and water more into it. Maybe have treasure hidden in the waters and you can search for it but there is sharks and stuff around. Few harpoon guns or jerry cans.. jaws style.. Subs with torpedos.. Attack boats etc etc

I don't think so, aren't some of the stuff in Cache & Carry only available to buy when you reach a certain level? And th3e Heist stuff are available once you have completed the heist. People would still have to work for it

Yeah, I mentioned something similar before. A sub that can go off radar unless you're a couple of hundred meters off it (big red blip like they use for incoming air drops or something). Use the islands too. Not sure how, mind, but i'm sure the creative geniuses at R* could work it out. Deep sea fishing, shark fishing (why not, they have crap like tennis and arm wrestling!) and once you catch a shark you have it mounted above the fireplace in your mansion. Same with hunting animals.

And what city the size of LS never had a Zoo?!

They should probably have more up north too, I find myself mostly in around the city killing people (or being killed, isn't that right Proco/Stu/Davey?). A few things up there apart from races and such would be cool.

Yeah but even when you unlock the stuff you never have the money to buy it. Buying the credits will just make it all that easier.

While I don't mind people using glitches to make a bit of money I do wish Rockstar would focus on modders who use invincibility glitches or mess with your character or apartment. It gets beyond annoying sometimes when you have players who are hanging around killing you while your trying to battle it out with others.

Is the Titan not big enough?! I'd fancy an ould gunship all the same, or a stealth bomber.

    *Drops nuke on Proco*

"Well that's what you get for running into my nuke!".

    Noooooooooooo!

I would like proper submarines with missiles, that can hold at least 16 people.

I also want depth charges to take on the subs.

I want something like this :pac:

Have to say some great ideas that I wouldn't of thought of, shows there's so much that could be added to the game still. I would of been happy with a new gun or two and some more armoury vehicles. :p That gunship and dropping nukes sound good though!

I noticed Monday there's a small change, at least on the 360. When your in a randomers heist lobby or mission or whatever you can now invite friends to join you if they can't get anybody to join. Really handy feature we were only complaining about the lack of a few days ago. It'll make setting up heists especially easier when you can invite friends to heists when the leader can't get a crew together.

Will there be new heists at some point?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 953 ✭✭✭TacoMan

Afaik R* confirmed that we will get more heists, but due to the complexity of designing heists I wouldn't hold my breath.

Total guesswork - They are working on another 4 or 5 heists but will stagger the release dates. Maybe we will get 2 more heists before the end of the year (maybe an xmas gift to the players), and maybe 2-3 more around March next year (a year after the original heists were released).

If it was announced that we would get 2 at the end of the year I'd be happy out. Getting fairly bored with the game since I finished the heists.

Yeah after you've mastered all roles in all heists it does kind of fade away. Thank fudge for the crew's freemode antics and of course the often infuriating but always entertaining Whacky Races ;).

New heists will be excellent, but I'd wonder about their longevity. I keep harping on about this, but if they opened the casino I think there would be days/weeks/months of entertainment to be had. Online poker/blackjack/roulette/ would be class. If they added in horse/dog racing feature including betting would be excellent too. Hell, they could go all out and model the casino into a resort (a la Vegas) with comedy clubs, entertainment shows etc. all included.
