Hi all,
I’m looking for a bit of advice here! I haven’t played GTA Online since launch week (a horrible experience that I’d rather forget) because I moved house. I just got set-up on Xbox Live again and have been jumping in for a few nights, but honestly I haven’t got a clue what to do.

When I go into a job on the map (such as a race or deathmatch), I’m rarely ever finding anyone else playing it. Any Quick Job that I try and join seems to be some custom map rather than a Rockstar job that sees me either having to do Parkour across the map to try get a gun, or become a stunt driver to try reach players floating in tiny boxes in the sky!

Any playlists that I try and join never load up and it’s leaving a sour taste in my mouth because I can’t help but think that I’ve arrived late to the party with everyone else moving on to bigger and better things. So what game modes are people playing nowadays? What’s the best way to get into a game?

I’m also a bit lost about what to do when I’m just in the standard sandbox GTA Online world. There’s obviously other players here, but is it basically some kind of purgatory where you just go until you find a job you want to go on, or can you actually achieve anything in it?

Finally, I haven’t even completed the single player… is that something I need to do to be able to unlock other multiplayer modes?

So if anyone could give me pointers, or let me know where I can find a nice guide to help me find my feet in the GTA Online world, that'd be hugely appreciated!

You can add a few players here and it wil be easier get into missions and we'll be able to invite you.

Typically online, you tend to get into scraps with other players, or mess around with crew members.

I tend to just sell cars, go for the high value vehicle some times. Just try to make some money.

Then use a chopper to go around and rob shops until the cops get so aggressive that we get killed.

And do Jobs (Contact Missions), I find those good craic, they are just coop missions. I like the races too, but I always seem to do poorly.

I've not had the back luck of being constantly loading into sh1te custom matches like you said.

Yes you can, either crusing with friends in a car or flying with them, the usual stuff and also the missions you do

Feck choppers, more customisable muscle cars please!

A working casino and a trip to jail for x amount of crimes (i.e. blowing 10 cars in one session) would be class. Either do your time or be busted out by the boys and have 5 stars on everyone and the army, cops, and Jebus himself after you.

I got the "The rockstar games services are unavailable right now" last night on the xBox One, as soon as i was able to get on I made sure to sell all my Rat Loaders just in case they were fixing something that would affect it hehehehe

Would be class if they added a wingsuit, skateboard and scuba diving gear and other similar activities. also id love to see more underground places like bunkers and missile silos, seems like a missed opportunity not to let us explore under the city, i really do hope they add more locations online

Aswell id like to see proper weather cycles, seasonal snow on the peaks of mount chiliad would be awesome!
