I've just done a quick cost analysis based on my own usage. Moving from an iPhone 4 bought shortly after launch so an upgrade is long overdue!

An iPhone 6 (16 GB) with 24 months calls would work out approximately:
Prepay (Vodafone): €979 (€699 from Apple + €280 calls (unlimited Vodafone calls and texts, 250 MB to 3 GB data/month)
02 (billpay): €1209.99 (€369.99 upfront + €35 month, overall cheapest offer with O2).

However, if I pick one up sim free while in New York this December I could save up to a further €149 on the phone (all US taxes included). The only issue relates to warranty claims so I'm a bit hesitant.

Edit: My mistake. The sim free offer from O2 is €650. Thanks nailforhammer.

nope! Only 16GB regular 6 is up
There's 6 versions and not one operator has the 6 of them up there. All I'm interested in is the 64GB plus and can't find it

That's the iPhone 6 plus o2 are offering for 750 whereas it's 799 on Apple so you're saving €49.
The regular iPhone 6 is €650 from o2 on Prepay so that is also much cheaper than Apple

Well finally pulled the trigger on a 64gb Gold 6 from the UK site, delivery was 4-6 weeks and now is back down to 7-8 working days. hope everything goes well with Parcel motel!

No phones from O2 are sim free. If you pay €649 for an iPhone 6 they wont unlock it until you spend another €130 on credit.
