Anderson left for free in my game in the end and sat as a free agent for a while before going to Brazil...

There's definitely less ridiculous freebies this year imo, my only good one has been Ben arfa so far

Any tips on improving the quality of my new youth intake each season?

I handed over outbound transfer responsability to Ed Woodward, and just Transfer listed a rake of players I didn't want.

Eddie got rid of them all, bar Anderson, but he negotiated a loan move away from OT.

I had to restart my game after installing some facepacks, and after struggling to shift players out first time round, handed it over to Chief Exec and went a lot smoother.

Kept inbound transfers down to me, as Woodward utterly ****ed up a Depay deal.

Anyone else playing as a LOI team? I'm playing as Cork City and we just seem to be haemorrheging money every month. I'm probably losing about 100k a month. Just wondering if its similar with other LOI clubs. I've never had that problem in the older FM games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,181 ✭✭✭Iang87

yep im losing money each month. I'm playing as limerick so i've awful attendances aswell. Basically trying everything to stay in the cups. Theres also the limerick squad which is huge to start with so thats not helping matters, not sure is cork the same

Can't say i have a huge problem with injuries, at least in lower leagues.

Downloaded a mod last night unlocking the eng league down to county divisions. Really fun. Gona take a team from the ninth tier to champ league, Stourport swifts. At least I'll go up. I'm guessing i will only be able to bring them so far. The league is ranked 248th in europe. Only problem is i have a wage budget of 43k (i think) but my wage is 26k. Can't wait to negotiate my contract!! I'd start unemployed if i had option again i think

Where did you download tho mate? I assume its a data base?

pop it into editor data and your flying. Only prob I've found (apart from the fact you are guaranteed to loose money, albeit nothing drastic) is prem league referees sometimes ref the games.

Ya the squad i started with is pretty big to be fair. Probably should offload a few in the transfer window. I'm still within my wage budget though which is the weird thing.

EDIT: Just noticed a lot of my U19 squad is on around 200 a week which is mad considering my first team players aren't on much more than that.

Squad come to complain to me that my RB isn't being given a chance in the first team... a bit annoying, he's played 33/34 games this year, more appearances than every other player in the squad  Where's the f*off reply?

Could someone inform me a bit more about all these downloads ie Christian Eriksen formation?

Also I see people into 2026 already. How do ye get such speed in the game?

Finished comfortably in 11th with Villa. Decided not to renew Vlaar or Guzan's contracts to free up some wage space. Have Bakkali coming in on free. Hoping himself and Grealish on either wings will liven things up for us. Mulder from Feyenoord also comes in for nothing and will be the starting keeper. Full backs need improving, I may have to depend on loans there.

crashed on me the other day and i had played a few games since my monthly in game save! It has just knocked the stuffing out of me and i won't play it for a couple weeks now! hate when it happens! :(
in the middle of my first season with Liverpool and playing a diamond formation! struggling with a good side (including a couple new signings) and my team have just became fluid in the formation i play and i have the whole squad on individual training for the positions they are playing in! champions league qualification is not looking good, still in cup comps and mid table in league! Definitely will turn it around i think but hopefully i get the time with the board and hopefully my players stop giving me cheek when i praise them for scoring on international duty or man of match performances (confused on that one)

Some of the threads there can ruin the FM experience. You can lose the satisfaction got from finding a wonderkid or creating your own successful tactic etc.

    http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/share-download-fm-15-tactics/179480-christianeriksen-beautiful-play.html

Alot of users share there tactics and thats where you will find "ChristianEriksen - Beautiful play". Hes always updating/tweaking it.

Looks like they still haven't got the player happiness right. had a player moaning about not getting enough games after he had just started 2 in a row. Had a bug as well where i was in second place in the league with one game to go and the team that where top were 4 points ahead of me...queue questions about my chances of winning the league.
Apart from that have to say i'm loving this version. Was finding it hard toget consistency until i downloaded a FourTwoFour tatic and now i'm firing in the goals, but can concede a few sometimes as well. Playng as Newport Co. in league 1

Is the fact that clubs are looking for astronomical fees for youngsters a bug and can we expect a fix if so?

Nope it's basically just then saying they have no intention to sell... Happens irl where ridiculous prices are put on players and occasionally they're met (smalling, Walcott, rooney etc. jump to mind)...

Ok I'm finished. 2026 with Shrewsbury. Finally won the PL after 4 straight years finishing 2nd. Nobody won back to back titles in those years, one team was always just brilliant in the league and I couldn't do any more. Trophy list at the end was something like 1x League 2 Champions, 1x League 1 Champions, 2x League Cup, 2x FA Cup, 1x Europa League, 1x Champions League, 1x World Club Champions.

Started with a 9000 seat stadium, was expanded to 20,000 by the time I was in the PL, couldn't expand any more and because it was a pretty new stadium and the 20 year rule I had to change the stadiums age in the editor. As soon as I did this the board built a new stadium, 30,000 and after 1 year planned to expand it to 40,000. It was planned to take 2 years but after one year the board came back saying plan in permission had failed out effort to build a new stadium, clearly some sort of bug but it was my last season anyways so I didn't really care. I had hoped to win the PL and CL double but I couldn't manage it, should have done it in my last season but Liverpool somehow beat me 4-1 in the first leg even though I was all over them so that pretty much ended my chances, I was winning the home leg 3-0 before they scored in the last 10 minutes, at that point I nearly threw the laptop out the window. Not winning that double was my only real dissapointment in the game.

In 2022 I was offered the Netherlands job, took the from 8th in the World Rankings to 2nd, got to the Euro 2024 final and was winning 1-0 against England when my own player from Shrewsbury scored twice in 2 minutes and won the Euros for England. I resigned a couple days later.

After a week I was offered the Italy job, 14th in the World but I set my sights on winnin the 2026 World Cup, qualified easily, won my group easily, though had a scare when I was losing 3-0 to Japan at half time, but came back to win 6-3 with 4 goals in the final 5 minutes. Long story short I won it, beating Croatia in the final 3-0. I also beat them 7-1 in the Group stage.

Best players for me in the game were Alen Halilovic, 10m from Atletico and Patrick Roberts, 15m from Fulham.

Really enjoyed the game though it was extremely frustrating at times with a lot of injuries and players getting unhappy even though I sign them as a backup or rotation and they still play 10-30 times a season but are constantly unhappy.

Walcott went for 12 mill after bonuses, rooney was proven at the level. 47 mill for an unknown quantity is a bit much when his price tag is 400k

The price tag is fictitious really and normally they can be negotiated down to half the first negotiation... Also helps to disrupt them a bit first, I've found that the ones with the massive opening price tend to have little interest in joining (according to the scout)...

After only getting the game at the end of December, finished my first season in charge. After a pretty stuttery start fumbling around with formations and being about 5th in the league before the Christmas period, I went on an incredible run and pipped Chelsea for the title by a point on the last day.

What these games are all about, the emotions were incredible. Added by the top right corner showing Chelsea's goals as it happened.

I then went into an FA Cup Final against Arsenal and lost 2-1 in extra time to a FREAK and RARE DDG error. Was mental and I immediately shut the game off claiming it was bugged and broken, so outragous was the goal.

I'll post some pics up later of end of seasons stats for anyone interested. Some playing staff highlights especially.

I've brought in mostly youngsters and some of them already had lit the team up. Munir was a really good purchase. Kept him a bit wrapped up in cotton wool but still managed to score 10+. Falcao was my main striker throughout the season and finished really well. Rooney I had tried to sell, spent most of his time on the bench and then in the last 10 games I simply couldn't drop him. He was incredible. Really made me think hard if I want to offload him.

Striker department is where my big decisions are. Henriquez is out on loan scoring for fun at Dinamo. Munir looks like he will be a beast. I've been tracking two strikers through scouting who both look incredible.

I sold RVP to Madrid for €25m as he was out of form and suffering a lot of injuries. I'm not going to sign Falcao permanently. I think I'll also end up selling Rooney to clear that wage he is on.

Going to continue with this save as I feel like I'm building something really good, but can also ssee myself starting a Dortmund save. Might try a different tactic, guess it can get boring if you use the same tactic over and over again.

I'll share it when I get home, havn't got a screenshot handy on this computer. I think someone mentioned it already. I tinker like loads with tactics and try not to use shared tactics until I've had a good mess about.

But I ended up turning to the usual resources when first half of the season I was in dire straights.

I think it was called Chelsea something a few pages back.

Although I'm going to have a look at this "ChristenErikkson" tactic suite, hearing WAY too much about it.

Yassine Benzia is the striker I was talking about btw. Been monitoring him all year as he flagged up in a scout report, and looks to be serious business. Unfortunately was out for 4 months with a serious injury.

A friend was banging on about a Dutch striker beginning with a Z, can't remember it, but said that he is a must buy for everyone :O

I think I'll be going into the new season with three strikers. Munir and Henriquez back form loan, and then most likely try sign Benzia.

Having a bit of a real life hard on for Luciano Vietto, caught him a few times for Villareal this season and looks mental. Scout report came back last night that roared at me to buy him immediately.

Lucas Romero has been an unmitigated success story this year btw. I started him in DM and then moved him into CM alongside Herrera, just so good. I've Herrera moving more forward and Romero sitting when in attack alongside Carrick and it seemed to work wonders.

Herrera is excellent for me, scores some absolute belters as well.

I think I might start a Dortmund adventure tonight using this CErikkson stuff.

Actually here is the tactic I used in the second half of the season that won me the league

Found United to be very difficult for some reason using my old tried and trusted methods.

Zakkari Bakkali (Spelling?) is probably the Dutch striker. Actually it could be Richairo Zivkovic either. Both very good. Delay is another Dutch beast.

    Zivkovic is the one.

Going to start my Dortmund save tonight. Believe they have a piddly transfer budget, anyone confirm that it is infact 5m ? That's outragous.

Luciano Vietto, Lucas Romero and Martin Odegaard are the three I have immediately in my head as signings. Romero was too good in my MUFC save, and Odegaard was showing great signs of development.

Want to try not copy the signings I made with MUFC, but will have to see.

Bruma is someone everyone should look at signing if they need a winger.

Neves as a CM from porto looks like he could become really good too.

He's killed me twice in the league playing for Schalke with Sam on the other side, tore me up!

My hidden gem that I haven't seen mention is Gil Romero, DLP (CM) absolutely on fire for me, but does pick up a lot of cards...

Also Savitskiy (sp) is a wizard, although well known in FMland already.

Ruben Neves was stubborn as **** for me. Wouldn't sign for United when he was a youngster and Porto wanted something outrageous. He finally signed for Arsenal years down the line for the same valuation.

Couldn't as they were friendlies while on training camp

Actually had to exit the game and start again, stupid.

5m transfer budget, all key players injured for 6+ weeks, in some cases months, start of the two games Subotic demanded to be sold to Real Madrid.

This is going to be a challenge.

Happened to me in fm14. If you don't have youth players go on holiday for the match the game will use a load of non existent players to fill the gaps

Wouldn't do anything for me, couldn't start the match, couldn't cancel, couldn't promote youth. Ended up exiting the game and starting fresh.

To be honest seeing the STATE of Dortmund might continue with my MUFC save. Was reading a manager story on another forum and really made me want to try go through the second season and win the CL.

just won the league with rochdale first season, Yesil and Pozo were my saviours. absolutely fcked for the championship.. such a budget squad, got 1 mill transfer budget so I decided to ask for a stadium expansion, improved training facilities and youth. then put the rest into wages and brought Lloyd Isgrove from southampton, Sammy Ameobi, Stuart Holden, Alex Bruce, Zayatte, McNair and Benik Afobe all in on free transfers.. backed up by Rolando Aarons, Jordan Rossiter and Yesil all on loan and some utd Rb think its Vermilj.. coming 6th after 12 games which is surprising hope we can keep it up, being ****ed over by Yesil and Afobe, everytime one comes back they get injured again
