Did the cars eventually show up in salthill? Was there, like a lot of people, from around 10 until 11am this morning....saw one Ferrari.

They moved the start to Clayton hotel. Pity they couldn't update their website. By the time we figured it out, we only caught sight of the last couple.

Went to see this on Saturday. Cars were great, most drivers put on a good show and it was for a good cause.
But, it did not seem to be very well organised, cars were very late, arrived in dribs and drabs, no one seemed to know what was happening. I had two kids with me, 8 and 13 years old, love their cars, but they lost patience with all the waiting around and then when the cars eventually arrived not knowing whether it was over or not due to the waiting between cars at times.
    All a bit lax.

We got there late with the kids at 5 thinking our timing was brilliant. Waited 90 mins and then had to take them home for dinner. Pity, promised to be a good show.

Thanks for the popcorn (and the brazillian dancers... something for the dads).

I just had to run down from the apartment to see them all stuck at the traffic lights on the way into town :). And of course taking off from the lights :)

I hung around Salthill from around 4:30 until after 6. All I saw in that time was popcorn vans and skimpily dressed ladies selling flags and hats (so not all bad then!). I only saw one or two cars come in dribs and drabs with absolutely no information being given as to where the rest of them were. I ran out of patience and headed for home and managed to time it perfectly - I got a birds eye view of a lot of them at the traffic lights on the Tuam Rd (at Monaghans garage), so it must have been near 7-ish by the time they landed in Salthill!

The fact that the DJ wasn't giving updates as to the whereabouts of the cars said to us that they hadn't a clue. It felt very strange that they weren't giving people any idea after waiting so long. Every once in a while he'd whoop "hello galway" so we'd cheer and the kids got all excited thinking this is it. But in the end he was only messing with us.

I know free is free, but if I had known we could have better spent our time at home having one last bbq.

I never caught it. However, a quick search came up with this video from a DJ Den Kot posted yesterday:
