Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Motorcycle loading regulations

Are there any laws regarding the carrying capacity of motorcycles?

I know Australia has a 100mm past the front wheel and 300mm past the rear wheel but I can't find anything in Ireland.

This is what I'm wondering about.

Actually, while I'm here, is there anywhere I can view the laws as they stand now, instead of reading the separate sections and having to read the amendments afterwards?

Westlaw but it's a pay site, doesn't cover all legislation and we're a common law jurisdiction so not everything is in legislation anyway.

I think that because this is such a niche area, you'll possibly get better answers in the motors section. I'll move it there.

Please note that the local charter now applies.
