Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Galaxy S4 - repair or replace

Well, I'm currently typing from my S4 which my baby decided to bash off the floor this morning - the screen is pretty much completely shattered (excuse any spelling mistakes, I can't really see what I'm typing!)

I'm maybe half way through a two year bill pay contract.

Should I go to one of those dodgy places off Henry St to get it fixed?

I'm kind of inclined to just get a new cheap phone. I pretty much only use my phone to browse Facebook and boards ... I do need a decent camera, though. If I got a lower spec android phone, would I really notice much difference, and any recommendations of which phone to get?

    Thanks!

Just go to fonfix in sandyford its 125 euro and there the proper samsung repair centre.A diy screen is over a 100 euro and the less reputable phone shops will try just heat the glass off n replace it and still charge the guts of 90 quid.

Is the actual LCD damaged, or just the glass? If you can see images on screen OK (no purple and green blobs), it might just be the glass.

It looks like spiders and spider webs all over the screen! If that makes sense :D No purple or green blobs, but I can clearly see and feel the cracks

I'd say it's just the glass. The glass itself is around a tenner, but it'll probably cost 70 to get it done.

Where would you recommend? Dublin city centre is preferable! Thanks!

    Haven't a clue. Sorry.

I think there are a couple of places advertising on adverts.ie, you can check feedback there.
