Does anyone know of any Oktoberfest events/promos going on in Limerick?

Having been to the official one in Munich not so long ago I'd love to see something going on here, great atmosphere and the beer is top notch, there must be a few German's living in Limerick surely, hopefully single and female too :D

Sweet baby Jeebus, maybe we can all pool together and get them some Ryanair tickets here? ;-)

Didn't Flannery's do something for Oktoberfest one year?

I think Cork, Waterford and Galway have an event sponsored by Paulaner, but I've heard nothing of Limerick.

I'm in. You supply the wimminz and I'll supply the steins.

According to a poster in the beer & spirits forum Lidl are now stocking some Oktoberfest beer -
Perlenbacher Festbier and I bought it today in Dublin 15. It's 5.5% and a lovely dark colour. Taste is a stronger than usual from Germany and a nice bitter bite. An East German style of festbier and 1.49 a can! Nice one Lidl, let's hope the trend catches on!

Anyone come across this in Limerick?

Haven't seen it yet, but I'll have a look in the Ennis Road shop tomorrow.

Yeah Nancys had one on the October bank holiday, they kept on most of the beers too, good menu in there now. Think it was 5 x drinks and Pig on a Spit for €20, good craic. The ehhh frauleins serving were tasty too!
