How do I turn my laptop into a wifi hotspot?

I am currently connected to a wired network, and there is no wifi so I came here to ask how to turn my laptop into a wifi hotspot. Any help would b much appreciated.

You can do it without any additional software if you have Windows 7 - just set up an ad hoc network.

Mhotspot is by far the easiest ive used.
