I'm currently living in a house with no phone service inside. Old building with thick walls and I've to go outside to make any calls or texts.

Is there anything I can buy to improve or create a phone signal inside ?

invest in one of these (though pricey it does work)

Yes it's mobile signal. But as a student those prices won't be working for me. Thanks anyway

buy one you can always take it with you if you move house

i know but how often are you in a place with no phone service ? it's an inconvenience but at that price i on't be getting it fixed

trust me if you want 4g then it is worth it no matter where you go

full 4g signal = 70 mb on your phone. better than what eircom can offer in a lot of cases

even the 100m2 one is good enough for most houses

the 250m2 one is only a few quid more but better as it will penetrate thick walls

about €200 but worth it

what network are you on?

Vodafone. I don't even want 4G or 3G, just enough that i could make a phone call or text from inside the place

Those mobile signal boosters you've linked to are illegal and you can be heavily fined if caught using one. You're essentially broadcasting in licensed spectrum for which you do not hold the license.

"SureYWouldntYa" do you have a fixed broadband connection (DSL/fixed wireless), because Vodafone offer a device called a SureSignal which gives you a 3G hotspot in your home which will carry your mobile calls and texts?

Thanks Kensington that looks perfect, it'll be €99 for me but i assume I'd be able to sell it on if/when i move out so it will be fine
