Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Stunning. But where are the defence. Every single one sucked into the ball.

    Fuuckinng rubbish lads.

Wow. Massive gap between the centre backs there. Shocking defending.

Awful from Mertesacker in particular there. Didn't even look too bothered when he got a half chance to recover.

    Good night lads

Night Bob. Sleep tight. I'll probably wait till after the match.

It was predictable as we had to go on the offensive and thereby leaving bigger gaps

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,940 ✭✭✭omega man

Ospina gets the nod for me at the weekend. Schez needs a wake up.

Other than that we're fine :-)

I reiterate; Per has been poison since he came back.

Mental playing a high line over there too. AW is a ****ing tactical retard at times.

Lads, I can't even put finger on it. Utter capitulation from us tonight. I was going to comment on our defensive shape but we don't actually seem to have one. Players scattered all over the place while we're attacking, not setting themselves in time when they counter us.

Per can be slow and clueless

    This could get nasty

God this is awful stuff. No sense of composure about the Arsenal team.

    This is dire

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,393 ✭✭✭Ed Winchester

    We're lucky it's only 2-0.

If we didn't at least try to play a high line then surely they'd be even more on top of us.

Especially against the quickest striker in europe, that Aubameyang is blistering.

Should have got him instead of that donkey Welbeck

We haven't the defenders to play a high line against good teams.
Wenger seems not to realise that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,940 ✭✭✭omega man

If it was a couple of bad performances tonight I'd blame said players but it's all over the pitch therefore this lies firmly at wengers feet.

No we could have choked them. We did better when pegged back in the first half.
Mert is too slow to get back.

****in no leaders someone in the ****in team stand up and be counted, can't even to the simple things. Absolute disgrace getting played off the park by an under strength Dortmund side.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,570 ✭✭✭Ulysses Gaze

This is shambolic from Arsenal given that Dortmund are missing so many first choice players.

Yeah in big away games like this we should do that and try to frustrate them. But after going behind there's not much of a choice but to go for it a bit more.

[edit] Having said that, tonight we only look like conceding more

Getting a little bit tired of this crap. Could get a proper spanking here.

Yup agree. Arteta is a sh*t captain (on the pitch at least).

Another fresh air by Welbeck. He's not on his game.

Horrible defending from Arsenal. Decent teams rip up apart on the counter.

Good clearance there by Welbeck

Wellbeck has been shíte tonight. Any dreams of him being our saviour are surely out the window now. Come back Sanogo, all is forgiven.

Maybe this is Wenger's plan. Show how we can be stuck with realy shít so that we'll appreciate Giroud when he comes back.

    He is though

Another big game, another spanking. It's tough to be positive when you watch this type of performance. In fairness, Dortmund are pressuring us unbelievably well, but it all comes back to us not having another plan. Teams know all to well at this stage that if we get no space, we can't play.

Here comes the standard 60th min sub

Don't worry he won't get a game when Giroud is fit.

Actually it's usually 75+ mins. I'm completely ok with a 60 mins sub.

2 subs at the 60 minute mark!

At least Wellbeck puts a bit of effort in.

Ozil is stealing a living from Arsenal.

After going 2 down by the 48th minute and when after playing pure rubbish since the first minute? Ozil escapes again....

hahaha I can't believe you actually used that phrase sincerely!

Ridiculous people writing Welbeck off based on this game.

Lads there's no point trying to pick out an individual to blame. We've been awful as a unit. Hard to see any cohesion, especially when put under pressure.

This is just so painful. We never have a plan B!!
