Just to say definitely won't be shopping at Mr auto again.
Paid extra for 48 hour delivery, promised date the 10/9/14
Still waiting on the 16/9/14. According to ups it was still
in France on the 10th before heading off to Germany and
    is now in Shannon Ireland.
Its also very difficult to contact Mr auto, apart from phone
at €3 to 4 a minute. On contact details that were correct
It comes up password incorrect , then you can't change
password because your email address is the same.
I think if you have to go through a third party to reach
them through email don't bother, all though you won't find
    this out until you order.

So a delay that seems to be the fault of UPS and you blame the entirety on the company and then make false cost claims???

0818 costs 5c-8c from landlines and average 30c from mobiles. NOT €3-€4 a minute.

Also on their website it clearly states that the delivery time is from dispatch

"Please do bear in mind though that it is 48hrs after shipping and not after ordering. Any preparation time we need before dispatching your order is not included in the delivery period."

Maybe, with your tracking number, contact UPS and ask where your delivery is - standard UPS service, if product was in their system in France on 10th you should have had it on 11th. Delay seems to be on UPS side not the website - but sure isn't it easier to blame the website?

No not blaming anyone, delahunty. How would I know who's to blame. Ups say info was picked up for the tracking
but system does not show the package was physically picked up from the shipper.
However I am complaining not just because of the extra money paid for 48hr delivery but the time factored in
to complete this job on schedule. As far as I know I believe Mr auto.ie took my money and offered 48hr delivery
not ups. It was ups that asked if I could put the shipper in touch with them to sort the problem out.
I can't see why Mr auto can't allow a customer who has placed an order with all there details and received
confirmation email, can't be given the courtesy of a direct reply.
I have followed the email contact information correctly ,but it claims an error, I've noticed this happening on
other websites. End result and only option is to call. I have been wary of this in the past and even cleaning out
my credit. Waiting for all the options and obligatory terms interspersed with mind numbing music.
So yeah not a fan of the phone. Incidentally I apologise getting the phone price wrong, I read it as €4.2
My previous ups delivery was delivered late went to another town and was signed for by someone else !!
I find ups totally unreliable, just saying this as feedback to the seller. I've never had difficulty with any other
couriers. When I know the seller uses ups I don't shop there again. You may think this unfair to the seller
but what else is there to be done. I have tried giving feedback to the seller but they don't care or won't change.
Be a good idea if the consumer got a choice of courier at the point of ordering, I suspect people would pay
extra for a good efficient service, instead of being at the mercy of economics.

    PS.
My order date was the 8/9/14. Scanned in France 10/9/14. Received 16/9/14
    48 hrs Hmm !

To be fair the mister auto website has 48 hour deliver splashed all over it. It's a bit silly to say that it is perfectly acceptable for them to state that they don't count the time it takes to prepare the shipment. If the item is in stock, I would expect to get it working 48 hours. That won't happen with mister auto though.
They seemingly don't stock anything themselves so they really have no idea when your item will arrive. Worse still, they are known for getting shipments wrong. A joke of a company but their prices are very tempting.

If I was looking for autoparts I'd use Micks Garage. Biggest in Europe and based in Parkwest Dublin. As with many things, cheaper prices means cheaper service. Micks Garage is not cheapest, but their service is best.

As for above - if UPS scanned on 10th it means UPS had it on the 10th - which would normally mean delivery 11th.

Fault seems to be with UPS delivery system.

Possibly you live in a rural area - until postcodes come in, there will be issues with rural addresses.

I bought something off MrAuto a few days ago.

There was no one home and I was in school, I got some shock trying to figure out who signed for my parcel when I got the notification! :pac:

    Thankfully it was my neighbour.

    Ordered last Friday came today.

    As for below,
Ups response, information was received for the tracking number but system does not show
shipment was physically given to ups.
So when does my 48hr start.

The extra postage! Let's see. Ups bring it Mr auto take my money. A good idea could be if they
got together and credited the buyer the extra postage that wasn't needed, because it didn't make
the48hr target, to be fair I'd be happy getting it a day later, also beats not getting it at all.
Could even be an incentive to give them another go !

Also, Most places I visit have no post codes I always find the place. Its a matter of looking at
a map, drive to the town land, in my cases mile and a half off a main road, and ask usually
the first local knows where you need to go.

Ups have brought the parcel back to the depot a couple of times, and in one instance said
on there tracking service they tried to deliver but no one available to take the parcel.
I know for a fact I was in, and had been waiting in the day before.
Dogs in the yard goes mad when there's a delivery.

Another time, phone again its the dreaded call centre ( expensive call that ) to be told
My parcel was waiting days in the depot because they couldn't find the existence of
the house on some electronic map device they use. Its odd all the other couriers
found me. The one that I've found very efficient and quick, no extra postage needed
    is Night line.

    .

Do you really think a courier with hundreds of parcels to deliver will drive to an area on the off chance someone will know who you are and where you are located.

    get real.

Just my two cents, since I used these guys last week.

I ordered two items. The first was just coolant which arrived promptly with no issues, the second item was a specialist part for a vintage car, which took about five days longer as it came from Germany.

My only issue was that while it said "in stock" they didn't mention it was in stock in Germany. However this wasn't a part I could get on Micksgarage or any dealer so you have to factor that in.

Would use them again for sure.
