Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,

Thinking of heading to Anderlecht for the Arsenal game in October (UCL) just wondering what the general atmosphere is like and if the fans have a history of fighting rowdyness, stabbings? etc.

Not an Anderlecht fan but Belgian.

Atmosphere at their ground is generally pretty poor apart from big games, they have a group behind the goal that produces displays and sings, but imo it's all a bit fake and forced.
Then again in the Champions League it might be a lot better.

This is against Standard Liege, their big rival (together with Club Brugge)

They do have a rather large casual group, but if you don't look for trouble you'll be just fine, the area around the ground is pretty safe.

That display is fairly impressive to be fair.

They put a lot of effort in their displays, but the atmosphere during games itself can be quite poor.

Went to a game last month when I was in Brussels, atmosphere was ok, pretty much entirely coming from the section behind the goal.

Didn't feel unsafe at any stage though, wouldn't worry about that.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test
