Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

To be honest, it's not healthy to be so attached to your grown up children that you can't cope when they leave.

Young people go abroad all the time for travel, adventure, opportunities. They're probably having a ball in America.

Wouldn't say they'll be hurrying back after this either!

    Dear Mammy,

I WAS going to give you a surprise and come home for Christmas, but after your humongous breach of my trust and confidence on National Radio, I fear it will be at least forty years before I can ever show my face around the home place again.

    Yours In Shock,

    Son.

It was definitely €2100, mentioned right at the start and several times during.

    I can hear it now.

Butters, "It's a disgrace, Joe. I popped over to the states for a few weeks and when I came back they were all gone."

Joe, "And how did you feel when you turned on your internet machine and saw thread closed?"

Doesn't she know that the motor tax and VRT that BMW owners pay allows them to park where they like? Sure everyone knows that...

Saw a picture on a dedicated page on FB this evening of a large car parked over two
disabled parking spots outside a shopping centre in Clonmel. Number clearly visible!!
No disabled driver sticker on display. The only person in authority who seems to
treat this matter seriously is the judge in Ennis who has imposed hefty fines and
even prison sentences on offenders who were parked in disabled spots on the street.

Looks like I missed a cracker yesterday?

    So to answer your questions:
    1. No, that wasn't my mother who called in. My mother (unlike me) has better sense than to listen to Da Lahv Lahn. In fact she'd probably disown me if she knew I was a listener
    2. My income unfortunately is not at Je Duffy levels. :( I am self-employed, but I also have to pay tax and I'm not in a position to charge fees. :(
    3. I'm ENTITLED :D:D:D ;);) to go on my holidays wherever I want :)
    4. I don't have Sky Sports, I wouldn't watch enough on it to justify the cost as I'm not really a fan of "de football" so to speak
    5. I'll find the new thread alright ;) don't worry about that!
