Chargers/Bills could be a sneaky game of the week contender.

Packers/Lions could be an absolute massacre if Detroit manage ot not shoot themselves repeatedly in the foot (something they are excellent at managing more often than not).

Yeah, seeing that Packers defence the last 2 weeks gives me hope that the Lions may be able to emulate a win, similar to that of last thanksgiving (although probably unlikely to be such a lopsided scoreline).

No feet have been shot at yet this season. Last Sunday, that Carolina D just physically destroyed the Lions offence, in addition to a dodgy rookie kicker.
Hope they get back on track next Sunday.

Oh I wouldn't say that, in week 1 it was almost like you guys wanted to get back in the game for a while there. :p

The only thing that would give me much hope of us beating you guys is Rodgers having one of those "even my own offensive line can't stop me today!" type games. Our defence did improve in the second half last week, but I put almost all of that on the Jets and Geno falling apart than us.

Yeah, that second quarter didn't make for great viewing with all those penalties, but I hardly equate to shooting yourself in the foot. The Lions did plenty of that in the final quarters of games last year to ultimately lose.
No penalties for them in the second half of that game against the Giants means they have a coach who can get through to them thankfully.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

The change of coach could help alright. Schwab is a really good coordinator, lacked the discipline as a HC though.

Even if he does have one of those games, I'm finding it hard to believe that we're going to hold the Lions offence. It's going to be tough viewing to see what Stafford/Megatron do to our secondary. We'll probably put up a decent score and like a slow but inevitable six car pileup, wince as Stafford goes 80 yards downfield to win the game as time runs out.

First time participating. If I can hit 8-8 I'd be chuffed. Taking a few punts with the obvious example being the Browns. I just think they have the wind in their sail. May just be a gust but we'll see. Lions over Pacs is another punt

I have a funny feeling the Broncos might get the win for some reason, but you just can't go against Seattle at home. Green Bay I just can't bet against, despite all the evidence to the contrary :o. For any gamblers out there, the handicap on the Lion is only -2.0... take it!

Also have a funny feeling about the Jags, but not enough to back them.

Yeah it's a horrible font. The whole franchise could do with a makeover, the gear is ugly too. The orange throwbacks are much nicer.

fancy the Falcons to win this easily, hopefully the Bucs can make a game of it though. Yip, those uniforms look awful.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

    Well that was quick.

Didn't put any bets on, was hoping for the Bucs to get first possession, a FG or TD, and maybe a stop so I could get better value. Ah well.

The Buccs defense needs to turn up, or this could be a very, very long night.

Great throw from McCown on 3rd down, bad drop from Rainey - tough catch, but still a drop.

James Jones (of 'Double Fumble' fame) can now breathe a sigh of relief.

Nobody's laughing at you anymore, James.

Wow - just what the Bucs needed, turnover and they cough it straight back up. They don't look capable of stopping the Falcons so far.

God I wish we drafted Jake Williams instead of Greg Robinson. Who knew the biggest, fattest guy isn't always the best

Also puts into perspective our beating of Tampa last week. Gonna be another long season for the Rams :(
