Was on the 17:50 bus yesterday (jammers by Leeson st) and couldn't believe how many people had got on in town who were getting off before the Loughlinstown roundabout. Even worse, a good few got off before Foxrock. Feck sake, they have the 145 and the 46A.

You can't blame them for getting on though - the next 145 could be full, no-one wants to hang around at a bus stop for longer than necessary.

If a 145/46a and an 84x arrive together, a lot of people going to Foxrock will get the 84x simply because it's quicker. It's a shame Dublin Bus can't/won't do anything about it. At the very least, those people should be made aware that people with no other public transport choice are being left behind because of them.

only solution to that is to get rid of all the stops between UCD and Loughlinstown. Anyone who wants to get from (say) Stillorgan to Greystones will have to get a 145 to Loughlinstown and change onto the 84X there.

Can they stipulate pick-up only between town and SCR in Bray? This will ensure that people getting on can only get off past Loughlinstown!

But at least they have options...people who live in Newcastle/Kilcoole/Greystones don't. The next 84X after the 17:50 one is 40 mins later, but there could be several 46a/145s going through between that time.
