as always tho (as far as I know), some disappointing omissions such as
    1. No touch screen (huge for videographers who want to use the dual zone AF pull focus features that you can do on the 70D for eg)
    2. No articulated view finder. I just can never be without that now ever since the 60D
    3. No wifi

I cannot understand why they waste space and include video tech in an slr.
Can they not just keep them separate for simplicity ?

This is a specialised camera aimed at a specific market of sports and wildlife togs. Body needs to be bombproof which is the reason for all three of your problems.

If you are just looking at a straight choice between these two, you need to determine that if you photograph more sports, wildlife and even fast moving kids the 7d mkii is probably for you, while if it's landscape, slower moving people, macro, or video that makes up the bulk of your use then it's the 6d. If you are an enthusiast rather than pro both are versatile enough to do a fine job for all types, but are better at some than others.

To me looking at the specs, on paper it looks great.
some one said 1dx gap not really the 1dx has that many thing going for it, itle be along time before you see a catch up cropped sensor model.

I delighted to see they haven't jumped on the ( 4k band wagon like sony and pansonic ) and are staying true to photography..

As for the camera its self well low end sports performance mag body strong plenty of good features.

Honestly If your a amateur or little earning pro/student, Id be more inclined to bye a 7D mk11 then a 5D mk3 7d or any of the others. I think its one of the better cameras they've released in a long time its a versatile camera I could see my self with one.

can't see a reason why it wouldnt do well looking forward to seeing pictures in raw of what it produces.

I think AFAIK, it is using twin DIGIC 6 processors to produce the goods. This is how it achieves the fast burst rates. But as far as image quality is concerned, it may be a slight improvement over the older Canon APS-C cameras using DIGIC 5. Many people in the industry and media advise that the only real way to see a jump in IQ is to try a full frame.

i wanted to go full frame, i mainly do boudoir, family stuff and weddings so speed isnt a massive thing for me,id rather have the extra money to spend on better lenses i think. but durability, fast focusing etc would be good.

Have to say I was expecting a bit more from Canon. The price is quite impressive as well....it is APSC after all, plus they had years to develop it. To be honest I would rather get 70D if I was in the market for one.

Burst rate has managed to catch up to the Olympus E-M5 ;-)
