Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Is there any way to

    a) have the same contacts on an iPhone and an iPad

    b) have these contacts *not* on iCloud?

Sync via iTunes or use Gmail.

Sync via iTunes or use Gmail.

Doing that, but strangely a bunch of contacts are on iCloud. Maybe Gmail contacts - how can you get it to stop pulling contacts from Gmail and putting them on iCloud, and instead choose to synch with iTunes? The settings aren't exactly handing control to the user! (For instance, there's no Contacts setting in iTunes - or none that I can see.)

Edit: I've gone to the Gmail setting and switched off Contacts.

But now how does one get it to accept the same contacts that are on an iPhone synched to the same computer?

Edit again. Hmm, it now seems to have deleted *all* contacts from the computer. Oh dear. They're still on the phone, but presumably on connecting to iTunes they'll be eaten too?

My contacts are on my iPad and iPhone. If I update one of them, the other updates automatically.

I have both devices set to back up to iCloud.

Do you have the issue fixed yet or do you still need more advice?

Thanks. Fixed it in the end; used DropBox.
