Shapoorji Pallonji Group is based in India but is also one of the largest businesses with Irish connections. They have "bought" naming rights for the Cricket Ireland Academy and are becoming an official partner of Cricket Ireland

    Further details here

This is a massive boost to Cricket ireland's finances and must provide a lot of security for the game throughout the country, but particularly at international level.

Excellent news for Irish Cricket. Hoping one of the sponsors businesses has a nice short name though.

Great news as the RSA deal is finishing I think.

Might see more Irish players in IPL who knows.

The Irish lads do try and get in, but its very tough to get an IPL contract now, so sadly this contract won't make any difference in the short term at least.
