You should still be able to get online even with nat 3 but it wouldn't be a fun expereince.
I have a wired connection with UPC but it works fine wireless as well.
You do have PS + which is needed for online?
I'd just be ringing Sony or UPC to see what they say.

You want nat 2, no need for nat 1. But get off nat 3. Youtube ps3 nat 2/ps4 nat 2. Its pretty easy to set up and you should find tutorial easily.

yeah google " nat3" along with "model of router"
Will show you how to set a static ip onto your ps4, stick that in your router as a reserved address and setup port fowarding to direct certain traffic directly to that address.

    1. Who is your internet with?
    2. Why can you only do wireless?

If you can you should get yourself a set of these.
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FEDTWL6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I got them a month ago and the difference is amazing having a wired connection now, and it never drops out like wireless does and its a good bit faster too. They are very easy to set up and use.

You can also get "pass through" versions so you don't lose the plug.
Here's one from PCWorld, but maybe powercity / argos have them too.
