Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Cork (a)
    Dundalk (a)
    Dundalk (a)
    Bohs (a)
    Pats (a)
    Dundalk (a)

6/7 games in three weeks..then probably Pats (a) in the cup

Must win tonight just to keep some pressure on Cork.

Me and rovers fans in work discussing the semis and we puzzled by what is the best outcome for the FAI? Pats/Derry vs Rovers final or 2 derby semis?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,694 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

Attendance wise probably Derry v Rovers

I would have thought Patricks v Rovers would bring in the most.

    Pats are fairly poorly supported.

Fin Harps Derry would get a big crowd too

mmm I wud guess that around 10 thousand Patricks fans would turn up if playing Rovers

I disagree. They'd be doing pretty well with 5-6k I reckon.

I just don't see it. Pats have ideas about their club and fan base that don't exist in reality.

At least us and Bohs are a bit more realistic about ourselves.

We have **** fan attds? Not sure how that translates into ideas about **** attds.

Average 1200 a week, have about 3000 fans total. Brought 5k to the last final we lost, no idea who the other 2k people are. Some of them were in tallaght for the Legia game.

We are terrible at counting ticket sales tho......

I think you would see allot of the old timers, kids and families come out for a Final against Rovers.

That display in Tolka suggests you definitely have ideas about your attendances

There isn't 10000 Pats fans full stop, never mind all in the one place.

    Martyn Ziegler
    @martynziegler
Not saying Irish FA were confident of their Euro 2020 bid but chief exec John Delaney was singing to a waitress in UEFA hotel last night.

It is indeed 5.45PM. A great looking new stand behind the goals (Carrick Rd End) which will be taken down after the game

Rovers fans havnt even sold out it so their was no point of it going up! The usual away section is just going to be empty

Is there any buzz around the town about it? What's the general consensus?

Yeh all home tickets are sold out. Well Dundalk tweeted earlier saying they have 140 left id imagine they are gone now, that was early afternoon

Will def be 3000 plus Dundalk and Rovers have sold just over a 1000 so should be a decent atmosphere

Delighted so far. Look like could grab another, but pats will get one!

watching on TV, and it was definitely in, good shout from the lino

Great strike by Forrester but not fully sure if was fully over the line.

Wish commentators would stop saying Akinde for Akinade.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,527 ✭✭✭Paz-CCFC

Fantastic goal by Forrester. Smashed it from 25 yards out, crashed off the top corner of the goal and looked to bounce just inside the goal-line. Some decision by the linesman to call it. Great goal, just a shame it didn't go in more cleanly. Hopefully Bray can hang onto the draw and keep Pats at bay from us. Playing decently enough, if they keep the head in the second half after the equaliser, they can get the point and possibly snatch a win.

Yes, Bray fan, it was definitely a goal.

Yes, Bray fan, it was definitely a goal.

Even though I think it was in, there wasnt a replay that completely showed it. None from side on.

Pats 3-1 now. Fluke from Fahey and shambolic defending from Bray.

    1-0 Shels, Gary Dempsey.

Its ridiculous expecting managers to talk to Tony O'Donohoe in the middle of the game always annoys me.

Very interesting game this, disappointed I didn't head over after work because I would have missed the start with the early kick off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Some flukes from Pats tonight, but Bray deserve it. With a man extra, they've been tactically inept.

2-0 Shels. Jordan Keegan with the second. HT.

Fantastic performance from us with 10 men. 2 admittedly lucky goals but we worked very hard and deserved our win. Very enjoyable match.

Had minus 2 tonight, after we went down to 10 and 1 down still felt I was gonna win. Stupid 2nd goal to concede :D

Bray are awful and our ongoing issues with a consistent back four continue to haunt us. But We are decent going forward with that has been Fahey playing in front of Bolger.

Bit of luck Limerick can get something off Cork.

Just meant attendance wise. I'd probably prefer Rovers Pats as would a lot of neutrals I suppose.

That's doomed Athlone i feel. Plenty of opportunities for weeks now and not taking any of them

Some amount of gardai outside Dalymount a few minutes ago, only moved into the area a couple of months ago is that the norm at a LOI match or just when it is a derby type game.
