Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Some amount of gardai outside Dalymount a few minutes ago, only moved into the area a couple of months ago is that the norm at a LOI match or just when it is a derby type game.

Always a larger presence for Bohs v Rovers, won't see as many for any other fixture at Dalymount.

Good man! The season's nearing its end but we've 3 more home fixtures remaining: Limerick this Friday, Sligo on Oct 10th and Derry on Oct 24th.

Rotten game. Robbed a point to be fair.

Murphy's save at the end for you was probably worth a point....to be fair.

Knowing rovers' season hinges on winning the Derry game to get into Europe, and knowing a lot of their players are ****houses, Bohs players should be kicking themselves at allowing the rebound from the pen

Another excellent tip over the bar earlier in game as well. Probably best goalie in league IMO.

    Barry Ryan on current form.

Good man! You missed some game tonight! The next 3 games won't really mean much in the overall scheme of the season. All teams safe mid table and not really pushing for much. Obviously you're more than welcome to come along but having built considerably this year, I expect next year to be a great season where we can push for a top 5 finish, maybe sneak Europe or a good cup run!

I'll post about the match when I calm down a bit but seeing all the Bohs players run over to the fans when they scored for probably the first time this season was an absolute joy to behold! What an atmosphere! There's such a strong rapport between the fans and the players/staff. They left noting on the pitch tonight and it's a joy to watch them play in the red and black of Bohemian!

Makes it all the sweeter tbh. Six minutes to go, one down, missed penalty...I'll take it

Truly awful game of football, from both sides IMO, thought Rovers very fortunate to get a point, bohs really should have closed it out, better sides would have playing that Rovers team. Atmosphere was the lowest I've experienced at that fixture in a looong long time. Really flat other than the odd song from 20 odd on either side.

As a Derry fan, not overly worried about playing Rovers in the Cup semi, doesn't sound like Fenlon has improved them at all.

Based on last night, I'd agree to an extent, thankfully though, overall under Fenlon we have improved.

I take it from your post you're confident of winning in Tallaght so?

Wouldn't say winning, but fancy us to get a draw and take it back to the Brandy.

That's if we play to our potential. Generally playing decent enough stuff at present.

Tight semi to call but you're hardly favourites.

That was his 9th game in charge:

    W 4
    D 3
    L 2

    F 13
    A 6

Not great but not bad either. Definitely improved. We need a few players in key positions. Team would have completely fallen apart last night under Croly.

Your last 9 games actually worse:

    W 3
    D 1
    L 5

    F 15
    A 13

I didn't say we are favs, I said I'm not too worried. You will definitely be expected to progress.

I would normally have given up from getting much away to Rovers in a cup semi, I just feel that we might be in with a decent chance of progressing from this one, as long as some of the guys perform as they can. We have been playing well enough of late, some decent football and I think the space in Tallaght will suit us.

But its a cup semi so you never know. We might lose 4-0 !!

Plus the chance to get one over on Fenlon might get that little extra out of Derry, he's not well liked up here.

It was like a wake in the Rovers section all night until they scored in the dying moments. Thought the Bohs section didn't let up at all noise wise barring maybe a ten minute spell after half time.

    Really?

Maybe it was one of those things, when you're in the middle of it, it sounds great but outside of it less so... we actually commented during the game that the atmosphere was as disappointing as the game & that maybe 'The derby' had finally lost its mojo...:)

Poor enough home crowd compared to recent derbies.

It'll be like the Hacienda or U2 in the Dandelion Market: all the people that didn't bother showing up on the night because they thought they'd be beaten will now be on here later basking in the comprehensive draw.
