Anyway, I know its a long shot, and some may question the use of the word "cooking" in anything involving shredded wheat ..............:D

I had a quick snoop online and there are some recipes on www.postfoods.com for a few different cookies/slices. Maybe you could use one of the methods and substitute the ingredients you remember, where possible. Are you absolutely sure it was shredded wheat and not weetabix perhaps?
