Another clear penalty and red card.

    OMG what a capitulation.

Said a lot that for the fourth goal Rooney was the player sprinting back the fastest. Where were the rest of the midfield line and defenders? Terrible counter attack defending. Absolutely atrocious.

Imagine the abuse Moyes would've got for a result like this.

Van Gaal last the season if this keeps up?

Ref has seriously got to take some of the blame here. Game changed completly.

However that doesn't give us the right to become void of defending. Absolute meltdown now...fair play to leicster

The worst 20 mins I've ever seen from Man United, van Persie completely invisible again since his deflected goal, and Rooney not doing much to justify being put at 10.

Di Maria coming off was just shocking.

Vardy has been superb for them. Offers everything RVP/Falcao do not and only one Utd striker used to, Welbeck.

will ya ever **** off for yourself with welbeck, absolute idiot

No they just bottled it, 3-1 up and now 5-3 down, how on earth can you blame the ref for that?

United were in easy street until he gave a pen for nothing,Leicester got belief & United went to sh1te at the back.

Have to hand it to Leicester, they have given it socks from the get go.

At least one very bad decision from the ref cannot be blamed for that collapse, we are truly awful at the back.

Wow shows how far united have to go... Top 4 seems to be a million miles away

Just ignore it, I generally avoid there match threads to avoid coming across like a twat. Some fans take more pleasure in United losing than there own team winning.

We've been woeful since the peno!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,366 ✭✭✭✭8-10

How people think that was a mistake by the ref is beyond me. Peno and red card all day long. United getting played off the park by a promoted team who have been very impressive today, being very disingenuous to Leicester by blaming the ref for that 2nd peon. Stonewall for me.

Start pointing fingers at the United defence first off I'd say

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 13,018 ✭✭✭✭jank

Unbelievable. The superstars thought they could canter it and basically stopped playing. 30 minutes later they are two goals down. Soft soft centre and no structure in the team.

I blame bad riffing for the second goal, but that doesn't change the utter implosion afterwards. :/

Nah, that is only an excuse for 5 mins after the penalty decision. After that, it's up to the team to compose themselves. Leicester have been great.

Our defence is a huge problem. I don't think Blackett had a great game. Rojo was ****e. Evans was burst. Raf was fine. Smalling is not top quality.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,355 ✭✭✭Daroxtar

Well we know we don't have a great defence but at least we can batter teams going forward with the likes of Di Maria and Falcao. Unless we take them off......

Havent seen Utd this bad at the back since the infamous grey jersey day at the Dell.

Leicester fans won't forget this in a hurry. Immense performance from their team.

They were exceptional last season in the Championship and have really pushed on from that.

Ulloa and Cambiasso are two quality signings by Nigel Pearson.

Everbody could see that they haven't got a defence worthy of the term. Yet they go out and spunk a massive amount of money on forwards, which they didn't really need. They had Welbeck, Hernandez, Rooney and Van Persie in their squad, whereas they lost Ferdinand, Vidic and Evra (three vastly experienced defenders) during the summer. Any side relying on the likes of Evans, Jones and/or Smalling as defensive players are going to struggle to keep clean sheets. What on earth was LVG thinking of?

Leicester were still well in it though, United werent dominating at all and were lucky to be 3-1 up. Leicester have been a real proper, give it a go home team.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

Well agree with most that the first penalty was a shocking decision but credit to Leicester, every since they have been bossing the game.

Never was going to be easy against Leicester away though so don't get this "what if moyes was in charge" stuff.

25 minutes and United have imploded. Fair play to Leicester though.

Stop blaming the ref, just stop. You cant really believe that it was his fault utd lost...
Both were penos, get over it.

They fully deserve it too, that's the truth of it. Brilliant performance from Leicester anchored by the classy Cambiasso.

They are a seriously good team, not many teams will beat them at home.

At least when we go down to the Championship we'll come straight back up. Maybe.

At 2-0 i thought Leicester were going to get hammered. Have been sensational and fought there way back. Great stuff.

Momentum is a huge thing in all sports, and many people seem to underestimate how important it is. MK changed the whole momentum of this game, and in doing so single-handedly changed the game IMO.

    Not a Utd fan BTW.

United not really taking advantage of their soft early season fixture list.

    Cambiasso's goal really broke United.

The penalty was a joke but for the other goals the only blame lies with the utd defence, or lack thereof, much like the Liverpool defence yesterday.

It doesn't change it, but it facilitated it. Van Gaal's subs were stupid. Januzaj had no business coming on when he did with Mata and even Shaw on the bench.

Fcuking Ref. Two penalties that had fouls before hand, one of them was a dive, and De Laet should have been sent off. Clattenburg should be shot for this performance

Did you see his strike yesterday for Real against Deportivo?

    Outstanding.

He's lucky they are 2 goals up. Shockingly greedy in the last 2 attacks with better options available.

The first pen was harsh but all the pens given for Youngs dives Utd can hardly complain when one goes against them.

Utd have been poor and are lucky to be ahead. This team is going to be found out sooner rather than later. Can't rely on Di Maria to save you constantly and RVP is not the player he was two years ago.

    Blackett is superb though.
    LOL

    :pac:
