Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Liverpool minus Suarez = Spurs minus Bale.

Relying on scoring 4 because your going to concede 3 the whole time is never sustainable.

The basics of defending are gone out the window. Nothing to do with an aging Gerrard or anything else in the middle. Basic marking and tracking runners by the back 4.

Not only do we not look like scoring, we don't even look like trying!

The defense hasn't improved and the goals aren't coming, they really need Sturridge back

Lovren seems an awful buy he wasn't that impressive last year either

Liverpool minus Suarez = Spurs minus Bale.

Thats just not the case in this game though - if Suarez was playing today, not receiving the ball from a horrendous midfield, he'd have not done much with it either.

We all have a go at poor defending etc but you cannot account for mistakes like that, that was an awful header at any level of amateur/professional football. Awful.

Liverpool minus Suarez = Spurs minus Bale.

I don't even think it's that. The losses this year have nothing to do with suarez or borini or any other forwards. Its the midfield and the defense. And they've replaced Renia with a worse keeper

3 points. I'd bite your hand off for that right now being honest.

His form has slipped a bit lately, alright.

    He was great last year.

I dont even blame the defence all that much even...i'm repeating myself here, but seriously - midfield - what the ****?! They didn't help defending, and they didn't help attacking, what exactly did they do all day? Occasionally pass the ball to each other under no pressure, and then seemingly disappear when West Ham break.

Hendersons worse game in two years

Agreed, but it's hard to play centre midfield on your own.

Another Gerrard set play not getting past the 1st man

Apart from the awful defending, Liverpool are not as creative up front as they were.
Had plenty of time to come back. Had loads of possession but created nothing.

Liverpool didn't deserve anything out of the game tbh.

Former Liverpool captain Jamie Carragher: "After losing Suarez Lfc were never going to score 100 goals + this season so had to be better defensively, they actually look worse now."

Do you remember a time when Liverpool fans said they weren't a one man team?

    Pepperidge Farm remembers. ;)

You most certainly can account. It's not like it put him clean through on goal. He was 40 yards out when he got it and the runner wasn't tracked. Skrtel was the deepest player and could see him running. No excuse for getting such a clean shot away.

Rogers starting to come under huge pressure now. The defense is a mess and the midfield is one paced, relying on the strikers to carry the team again is unrealistic!

He really seems to have a huge job on his hand, really poor defense carried in from last year, very unamaginative up front, lots of players to settle in and games coming quick and fast.

He has some big decisions to make with the back 4 and with Gerrard who he is accommodating now

What a result, West Ham were fantastic (especially the first half), never stopped chasing every ball.

Can't understand playing Gerrard in back to back games like that. Daftness.

West Ham were full value for their result to be fair.

How much did united spend over the summer?

And they're not even in the CL, or the worthless cup come to think of it.....

West Ham play like a gang of boggers, 3 points for them alright, but I thought the Wimbledon model was long gone....

Liverpool and Arsenal could both do with a proper DM. Gerrard and Arteta just arent up to it anymore.

There was absolutely nothing Wimbledon about that, West Ham played very well and beat a very poor pool team by there standard

Liverpool are an injury to Sterling away from a disaster imo.

They outplayed you, it's not up to them to play how you want them to but it is up to you to stop them. You sound like Arsene Wenger from a few years ago.

The age old excuse when you lose to West Ham. Except there was nothing 'boggerish' about it. They played some good stuff there tonight.

Says Liverpool who have resorted to 'hoofing it up to the big man' in a few games?!
