Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yep, I cant believe the very same ref made 2 different calls for the exact same thing.......

Good idea but its open to abuse. Players will demand more then 99k a week just to get the cake.

Relying on Lucas to play the killer ball from midfield is not a great policy.

So that makes it a free then?

    Jaysus, forgot Borini was playing.

A bang on the head should result in an automatic substitution which doesn't count towards the total subs made by a team.

Perfect. Start with any old player, get him to 'clash heads accidentally' with the opposition star player. Easy.

Not all bangs on the head are anything more than a cut.

Plus therd be a fair few tactical knocks being taken when a team has no subs left but wants to get a striker on when winning or defender when losing.

He might as well be in the dressing room

I know that, but it is clear that he was dazed to an extent. With that in mind, I wouldn't fancy having a player on the pitch who looked that way.

Hmm i wonder whether teams with older squads (and therefore more likely to be bloated in wages) can be given some sort of FFP write-off due to extra expense on candles? It's a hornets nest but something that needs to be dealt with now.

Where's the line? What you suggest would result in one or two subs at every 50/50 header. Players clash heads all the time - usually rub it for a sec and play on. Where do you draw the line on what constitutes a serious enough clash?

There HAS to be discretion by the ref and medical professionals, the people who are actually there, and can see the situation. People right now are just assuming Lovren isn't alright. If he comes out for the second half, it was obviously fine.

Moreno made a great run up the line but instead of giving him the ball its passed back to sakho and eventually lovren l, now we are under pressure instead of attacking

Good thinking, we can call it the "Yaya rule."

I would prefer the "Martins rule" named after the 17 year old striker aged 25 who scored in a Champions League Semi-Final for Inter. But nothing is set in stone.

Entertaining first half. Pool defense looks easily breached. They've not been able to string too many passes together. As for West Ham, best I've seen them play in a long time. Plenty of goals still in this game.

Sakhos changed the game, it was a joke he was dropped in the first place.

Blessed to get in at HT only one behind.

If we could magically win this, Sam will have some crying head on him.

The sooner Allen is back to replace Gerrard the better.

Sterling was shocking that first half constantly giving the ball away

As much as I want that to happen Rodgers doesn't have the balls to drop Gerrard.

Why on earth did WH take a short corner there and waste time. The clock was up. It was a free chance. They could have even brought the keeper up. I hate this sport sometimes.

Surely after such a big outlay on Adam llama for his epic workrate we should be making use of him? Both ex saints on for borini and Lucas.

Lol. We might be lacking some of Joe's qualities but he's not going to replace Gerrard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

As a fan you have to wonder why Lucas Gerrard and Henderson have started in the middle. That midfield is set up to contain and it has failed miserably at that. Borini blowing his chance here aswell.

Liverpool are just a mess at the moment. If I was BR I would go mental at them at HT. No shape or urgency, passing is awful, attacking is non existant, nothing is currently present in this game that made us great last season. Sloppy and clueless. WHU look a constant threat.

Fair play to West Ham. Only positive from Liverpool so far is I had Sterling on my FF team :)

When the ball is seldom passed in the same postcode as him there's not much he can do.
We could have Jesus Messi Maradonna Pele Christ up front and it wouldn't make a difference.

The only thing that midfield can be set up to do is fail.

I know this isnt match related but it is half time so:

Paderborn are currently top of the Bundesliga after four games played. Paderborn.

I have watched too much football if anything over the past 25 years and football across the world too. I play way too much Football Manager. And i have never even heard of a club called Paderborn until today. Paderborn

The fact that we persist in pairing Lucas and Gerard when it clearly hasn't worked in years is probably the most worrying thing.
