Problem with sacking Pardew is he still has 6 years of his contract to run, could be very expensive to get rid of him and Ashley came out recently and said he won't sell the club for at least another season, so no real point paying compensation to a manager if you don't think your going to be in the club in 5 years time.

Newcastle should be good enough to stay in the league with Pardew

It's in his contract that if he gets let go he only gets one year's wages in compensation. Effectively it's not really as long a contract as it is on paper. Can't see him lasting long more.
