Why can't i open the bbc website?

Why oh why can i not open the bbc website on my computer?

I type in www.bbc.co.uk and the little wheel spins around for ever but the site won't open.

Is it blocked somehow and how can i remove this blockage?

Still won't open!! Works from the wife's laptop and my phone but not the laptop....driving me mad!!

Does the bbc site load?

Forget that. Doesn't seem to work.

Have you tried different browsers? You could also try a different DNS.

The site might be down/under construction/DDOS'd. When I visited, I was re-routed from the bbc.co.uk site to the bbc.com site which never happened before.

Have you tried www.bbc.com?

That's where the .co.uk site redirects to for me anyways.

Working fine for me but redirecting to bbc.com

What router are you using op. if its dsl you may have to do the following.
If the MTU setting is set to 1500 change it to 1492.

Just tried to open it using Internet Explorer and it opened fine.

Tried Chrome and......the little wheel is still spinning and nobody is at home!!

Un/reinstall chrome.

Have you installed any Chrome addons like Hola?

I had trouble with the RTE website when that was running.
