    How is it a V5?
Is it a tradition V engine or a VR?

    edit: answered above.

Chatting to a Dutch guy today about the RCZ, he was admiring it as I was getting fuel (I was delighted at that :o) - we somehow got onto road tax (as you do) and I told him I pay €570 p/a on mine, he pays €110 per monthon a 2.0 HDI in the Netherlands  Apparantely if you've got a diesel or LPG you pay through the teeth. Crazy stuff.

Also, while picking my girlfriend up from work I heard a kid mistake my car for a Porsche to his friends :p

    I really love it.

His answer is the same as my answer...nope :pac:
Had a quick look on pistonheads, there are 3, all gtas.
Then autotrader but none really leaped out at me. The only ones I saw were the ones in the fire or the ones destined for Malaysia, both of which were in storage for a while. I do know of a really rare 2004 156 v6 ti, the owner is probably in the same boat as myself and the other chap, not wanting to sell, but I know he does big miles so might be open to offers.

On the mpg I used to get 30 mpg on long distance cruising at the speed limit (I've also gotten 20 mpg, but that was cruising a good bit higher and kilkenny dublin In record time). Driving spiritly would have that around the 22 mpg mark, the kind of blast you'd do between Ashbourne and swords

Driving in the city centre in traffic, I'd get 14-17 mpg, so I'd usually go in early or get the bus as that mpg would make me cry :(
Although it was fun scaring pedestrians in it.
Always found I got the best mpg on the motorway sitting in 6th at 110 km, then drop it to 4th for a nice quick overtake.

The Mammy's on the M50 this morning/evening heading towards Kilmacanogue in Wicklow.

If anybody sees a black 131 Renault Megane 2-door in the middle lane, kindly give it a wide berth. The driver's in the process of having a full bore panic attack.

I got those ones called fremax carbon from micksgarage for the back of the civic. They were very cheap but they needed a tiny bit of grinding down at the sides to slide freely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,845 ✭✭✭Noccy_Mondy

Family friends just bought an 08 mondeo (bog spec 127,000 miles) for €3.5k.

I paid €11k for mine over 2 years ago.... they depreciate fast

I know this has been asked a hundred million times, but what would be the best adhesive for re applying a focus badge to the boot of a car. It's all one piece, ie, the lettering is joined.

OK so I got my renewal the other day. I'm a year older and have an extra years NCB. How is my renewal €250 dearer than last year? Do they actually pull these figures out of their arses?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,974 ✭✭✭Chris_Heilong

I think renewal figures are automatically generated, if you call up they should take a few hundred off.

Not really, but I should, I know we are good and obviously Dmac is famous but its something I think needs to be on the Telly, we should embrace what we are good at, boxing, horses and drifting.
