Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Car trying to start?

I have an 02 astra. Recently my car started fine and then day by day it gradually would lose power to start. At first I tried a different battery from another car and it still would not turn over. Then I tried jumping it - still no joy. The car starts fine on a tow. I brought it the mechanic who put a new fully charged battery on it and it started fine for the whole day. The mechanic was in wonder why the car would not start on jump leads however. Yesterday when I went to start it again, it would start. I had to give it a few rev's to get it going.

Just wondering if anyone ever had a similar problem? And if so what was the cause?

It's obviously a drain on your electrical circuit somewhere or perhaps a faulty alternator.
If it worked off a full battery and not otherwise then that answers your question as to the source of the problem. Now for the diagnosis!
