Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As per title, I've only managed to waste one hour eating and checking out the library. Nothing to do for three hours. Suggestions? Any chance of playing a game of League of Legends on any computer round here? :o

btw I'm going to have long breaks for the next while, so apart from the gym what else is there?

Probably not relevant for today since you've just started but breaks are a great chance to get college work done. Enjoy the freedom today while you can!!

Have you chatted with anyone in your course yet? Breaks are also a good chance to get to know people in your class since you're probably all on a break.

I dunno about playing games on the PCs (not my area!) but you can certainly go to one of the computer rooms and go online. Print off some notes for your next classes maybe? Or just surf the web - generally that's frowned upon especially if the computer rooms are full but on the first day of term you're probably grand (obviously if you see someone waiting for a comp then get off!).

Failing all that you have loads of time to go in to town and wander around. Really though I'd say your best bet would be to try and interact with classmates during breaks until you get bogged down in college work anyway!

I literally have nothing to do since I just had my first lecture. Welp. Classmates were left behind since I went to get my student card.

You guys were a lot more responsible than me in my time in college....

If you are into PC games and all that jazz. The redbrick society as well as the Engineering society have a common room in the Electronic Engineering building. Clubs and Socs day should be next Tuesday. They have free tea and 3 computers to practice programming on as well as a TV.

But really, the next 2-3 weeks is all about making some friends.
