Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What difference does it make who has the captains armband.

It matters on football forums and that's the most important thing

If Lucas was given the armband, there'd be even more people moaning.

I actually cant believe people actually give that much of a fcuk tbh

ha, this is true. Matters very little, other than for the player who gets it. I guess it's a nice one-off feel good thing for Lambert. So yeah, I take back my points, Lambert is fine.

Markovic has been poor nearly every time he's been on the ball.

I personally couldn't give a fcek who's captain would always rather a midfielder or centre half would have gave it to toure

Sterling diving is nothing got to do with me

Thought markovic is supposed to be very skilful. Any time he starts running wit d ball he lose's it. Have seen nothing so far this season to justify his price tag

You make it your business though. Every time, even when there is nothing much to it. It's boring.

We just cannot control the game in central midfield. That has been the problem lately.
    1-0 at half-time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,293 ✭✭✭✭rob316

Can Enrique play on the right? I like Enrique and would like to see him get more games but moreno is the now and future. Felt we actually missed him last season.

He's very fond of the backwards pass like our old friend Stewy D.

Lallana looks as if he's been a Liverpool player for years.

    Very impressive.

No, this is a match thread and I'm commenting on what I believe was a dive. Nobody asked you to reply. But you made it your business to do so

    Lallana is very good.

I think Markovic is struggling a little bit but I think he has got a lot of talent. Just needs some confidence. Remember how poor Sterling was this time last year.

It's not worth it, don't bite. It's all a bit obvious.

Markovic has bags of talent but will take some time to settle in, its to be expected with young creative players.

We are lacking a presence up front, creative midfielders have nothing to aim at really, same as when Balotelli is in the team, lack of movement is chronic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

Markovic show glimpses of what he can do.

    Not a lot tho

Lallana and Enrique have done well. Rossiter and Lucas fairly steady in midfield. Sterling good as usual.

Toure wobbly. First game in ages to be fair. Not happening for Markovic yet. Can kinda see why Rodgers hasn't been using Lambert much. He is like a statue up front.

I'd love to continue this conversation but a proper reply would earn me a card. Continue amusing yourself.

  • 17 year old has been your best player. Which is slightly embarrassing.

He looks very comfortable on the ball and is always looking for it. Extremely confident for his age.

I'd be happy to see Jose Enrique start at the weekend, think he offers more defensively than Moreno, and I never thought I would say that about Jose Enrique

I'd be delighted if a 17 year old was our best player tonight. Means you are producing quality youngsters.

A 19 year old has been our best player all season, I'm not at all embarrassed by that.

Agree about Markovic, Sterling was taking on players constantly and losing possession when he got his first few games in the first team, it wasn't till he started using his head and putting his body across defenders instead of trying to outpace them shoulder to shoulder that he looked like he deserved to be in the first team. Very early to be worrying about Markovic.

Yeah i'm so embarrassed that we're producing good young players.

The only thing i'm embarrassed about is your sig.

Most importantly, we're playing 4231 and haven't imploded yet!

  • Embarrassing?

    Lol.

Yes considering the supposed experience around him. Only for a bad mistake by the keeper and his calm finish boro have bossed Liverpool in the first half.

It's great to be still in this cup and a chance to give the youngsters a run out.

No they haven't. At best they've matched Liverpool.

I'd take 1-0 at ht in any cup game and so would you

    LOL.

    Is this chap for real?

    :pac:

I'll take a low key second half with an early goal and no drama. Won't be very entertaining, but that suits me fine.

Seeems it only embarassing for United fans, not so much for Liverpool fans.

Stick around, you're fun. Fun fun fun.

Most embarrassing league cup game I've seen all season.

Hopefully an early Liverpool goal, take Sterling off and shut up shop until the end. Definitely don't need a replay here.
