I no, they are quiet constant today but I'm taking them as a good sign. my oh is nervous every time I'm flinching tho poor thing is convinced baby is on the way Iv told him I could have them for weeks before anything happens..

I've had lots and lots of Braxton Hicks for weeks, especially if I'm walking or when I go up and down stairs, move at any speed, cycle etc. They're in no way painful but sometimes the pressure is something else!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,775 ✭✭✭Fittle

Tfak85 you cycle!!!! I can barely walk! Loads of BH here too, but nothing else.

  • Registered Users Posts: 102 ✭✭missymad

ha walking is a no go area on this preg which is so diff to my last 2. did personal training the whole way through my last preg nd had no prob at all was so active... have had pains every 10 mins all eve. the last few got stronger so I was getting worried but haven't got them in half an hour so it's put my mind at ease again.. with baby weighing a little under its better she stays put in there for as long as possible even if I am fed up of being preg.

I rang the hospital last wk when mine became very regular too. The midwife was very unworried (unlike me) and said to do nothing unless other signs appeared, like a show, or my waters breaking etc.

It's crazy isn't it? Last October I never though I'd see June and now look! Time is going so fast!!

I feel sooooooooooo pregnant. Just so uncomfortable and big and blurgh. Will be happy to evict this baby hopefully soon!

I met a friend yesterday who was due May 12th but went 2 weeks early so she had her baba with her. I was v jealous! She went a week late on her first and was induced and then had a section so it's wonderful for her that she got a natural delivery this time and early too! Want :D

Goes to show how it can be different every time.

I'm your sister Woshy so ready to evict baby. I'm all good. Baby is head down, not engaged but not likely to move either, it'd be rare to have head engaged before labour on a 3rd baby. So we're all good and ready for off. Baby is measure about 35-36 weeks size wise. I'm 36 + 4 so i assume that means it's pretty average for gestation?! All good :)

Oh and PS. I am officially waddling now - i spent the last 2 weeks trying to convince myself i wasn't but i've finally given in and conceded, i'm well & truly waddling and my only wish right now is that i could spend every day in PJs :D

    Hello Ladies,
I have been reading the thread but never actually posted anything. My due date was the 7th of June but the little man has decided to arrive 5 weeks early! He was born a week ago perfectly healthy and we were let go home on Wednesday. He's bfeeding really well and already putting tge weight back in. The labor took 7 hours and went really well. He's my first child. I still can't believe he's here and the pregnancy is over. I look forward to reading your news. Best of luck - it's an amazing time!
If ye have any questions I'll be very happy to help!
    M.

    Congrats! Glad all is well

I know Ariana is shows how different each pregnancy can be. In my head I'm imagining I'll go the exact sa,e way as last time, I need to keep my mind open or I might be in for a shock! :D

A girl at work just told me that the 3rd will be no bother cos her 3rd only took 40mins, which she genuinely thought would be music to my ears, but 40mins leaves me giving birth at the side of the road

Congratulations!! I will most probably be having a section, second child but the last one was thirteen years ago. My only question is about breastfeeding - i was to go to some anti natal classes, but never made it. How will I know when to stop feeding baby? Will he just stop himself? Or do I need to encourage him? I am hoping breastfeeding works for me, but have formula on standby in case it's too difficult.

He will stop himself. They will stop when they have had enough. My boy usually falls asleep while feeding and then slowly pulls away. Trying to get them off might be a bit sore :) Sometimes he'll eat for 5 minutes other times 20. I think the main thing is to feed them on demand. It might sound like a lot of work but it's just so lovely to watch them eat. Now I can't wait for the next feed;)
I went to breastfeeding support group at the hospital before he was born and I would highly recommend doing so. It's great to chat other mams and the specialist. Or there might be some other groups in your area. I have to say the support is amazing. You can also look at a website called 'Kellymom'. Best of luck!

Thanks a lot. I've already found the local breastfeeding support group in my area, which is about five minutes from my house! I haven't been very mobile for a while now, so extra trips back to the hospital were a no-no. Thanks again.

No baba here yet :) I'm 37+5 though so a little bit early for that. I've a few things to do over the next few days and I'm getting waxed on Monday at 38+3 so I've decided I'll be happy for her to come anytime after that :D if only we could control it!

  • Registered Users Posts: 102 ✭✭missymad

same here Ariana, feel like the end is near. not feeling great today blacked out earlier in the middle of work my client had to pick me up off the floor twas rather embarrassing 😳

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,775 ✭✭✭Fittle

Nothing here either, tho im back in hospital tomorrow and might get a date for section, if hes still breech. Walked more today than I have in weeks and the pressure tonight is bad, but not long now x

  • Registered Users Posts: 79 ✭✭Petal765

Nothing here either, will be 37 weeks tomorrow and going to sort out my hospital bag, usually I'm very organised but I just kept putting it off, will be relieved when it's packed! Have been having a lot of period type cramps but realised it was cause I wasn't drinking enough, started drinking more and feel way better now, feel so silly something so simple... Keep going from pure and utter fear to excitement, first time so it's all so surreal, once baby arrives healthy that's all that matters, Hope everyone's doing well,

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,429 ✭✭✭Woshy

That's interesting about the water Petal. I'm having a lot of period like cramps too and I didn't get them last time. I must see if water helps, it would make sense that it would if it were my bowels or something like that

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,775 ✭✭✭Fittle

No date for section yet, baby still breech and back next week. The waiting is driving me mad...

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,303 ✭✭✭ariana`

Woshy you're brave getting waxing done! I couldn't face it right now...it'll have to be a DIY job with veet, even that seems a mammoth task. I'm 37weeks now & happy enough to wait another 2 weeks but would love to meet baba before the bank holiday weekend so 2 weeks time would be perfect!

    Fittle when you due?

Missymad are you ok, sounds obvious but make sure you're eating regularly & drinking plenty of water. Mind yourself x

    Allirog how're you hun?
