Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Apple has released iOS 8.0.1 to the public, and it’s rolling out now OTA to all devices capable of running iOS 8. The update’s build number is 12A366, and it packs fixes for a variety of bugs

Upgraded it on my 5S, went and killed the Touch ID too.

    Skip this upgrade.

That's a farce if true. Heads should roll.

Updated on iPhone 6. Have no signal now.

I'm voting this one as 'worst iOS upgrade ever'.

It killed your signal and Touch ID? I thought it only affected 6 and Plus?

Saying no signal on mine, but I was wrong about the Touch ID, a restart sorted that.

To fix loss of cellular service
If you've already installed the update and are experiencing these issues, a potential fix has arisen. Reinstalling iOS 8.0.1 through iTunes (and not via the over-the-air software update) apparently restores both cell service and Touch ID functionality. But that solution does no good for iPhone owners without immediate access to a PC or Mac

This is why carriers generally vet OS releases. Pre- iOS anyway.

My guess something went wrong with the OTA installer on iOS 8. Still no excuse.

Apple should test this on thousands of devices before release.

Frankly the coupling of the OS with hardware is a mistake too. It makes the original OS buggy as it has to make a schedule. Then there needs to be a rushed update.

    Bad day for Tim Cook.

Something off though. I thought the new iPhones were released with 8.0.1?
