    On a happier note, Eddie Gallen moved from 91st at CP 60 to 75th at CP69 (last major CP before the finish).

    As someone who has fallen victim to a fast finishing Eddie myself :D I can only stare in awe at that man's endurance. He is 59 years old! :eek:

    Eddie now credited as 65th home finishing @ 15:40:49 local time.

    Anto through CP 69 and in a large group of runners -15 spread over just 8 mins. Last push for the finish!

    121 have finished so far and he is not one of them. He was 110th at CP 69.

    Dk just finished in 131st, Beaten by 117 males and 13 females.

    I guess if we make the assumption that every one of the world's top 400 fittest athletes were at the Spartathlon this year then Dean could now legitimately claim to be the 118th fittest man on the planet :pac:

    Can I ask what may be a really stupid question, but how does someone train for a race that's this long both distance and time wise?

    UM1 has a training log on here. It's light on detail though and you might need a translator ;)

    Thanks and Ososlo too (on phone so can't multi quote). Just can't imagine someone running in a race for this long - especially when I think about everything I've done since I started reading this thread yesterday! Had a skim of the log there, think I'll need that translator alright when I go to read it properly later :)
