[QuoteThis evening John Deasy urged Fine Gael members to vote for John McNulty, despite Mr McNulty having asked members of the Oireachtas not to vote for him.

Mr Deasy described the situation as ridiculous and said it needs to be brought to an end.

Wont get any media traction but John seems to be rowing back here on his original criticism.[/QUOTE]
So Deasy wants FG to vote for McNulty, and kenny does not ?.

John Deasy makes my blood boil. He was shadow Mr for justice when he decided to be the big rebel and refuse to stop smoking in the Dail bar. When Kenny slapped him down Deasy threw all the toys out of the pram and was too big headed to patch tings up with Enda. Granted he backed the wrong horse in the leadership contest but he had left himself no choice at this stage. With Brian O shea retiring from labour Deasy was our only senior TD which meant that we didn't even get a junior minister. This destroyed Waterford with all the amalgamations going on with the Waterford and Wexford education training board going to wexford, the libraries emagmilated to kilkenny, St. Lukes in Kilkenny becoming an overlord to WRH .....I could go on. Deasy left Waterford defensiveless. The system is wrong esp with all the stroke and crony politics but if you can't beat it for God sake don't let a whole county and city die a death of a 1000 cuts!
