Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The winners Curse upon the team that beats them?

    2008: Tyrone AI Champions:
2009: Cork dethrone Tyrone, Kerry defeat Cork afterwards to win AI Final.
2010: Down dethrone Kerry, Cork defeat Down afterwards in AI Final.
2011: Mayo dethrone Cork, Kerry defeat Mayo afterwards in AI Semi-Final
2012: Mayo defeat Dublin, Donegal defeat Mayo afterwards in AI Final
2013: Mayo defeat Donegal, Dublin defeat Mayo afterwards in AI Final
2014: Donegal defeat Dublin, Kerry defeat Donegal afterwards in AI Final

So for the last 6 years the team which has defeated the previous years winners have ultimately lost and not gone on to win. This has been happening for several years and it seems a team peaks too early when they meet last years winner and it seems to take too much out of them.

    That's very interesting.

I have always thought that the accolades give to teams for beating the champion was a bit overrated.

The defending champ is never as good the second year as we have seen.
