Trying to set up email that uses POP3 on new PC - Win 8.1

    I'm trying to set up my email on my new PC which is running Windows 8.1

    I use an email address that is linked to my parents account in Australia (so I have a .com.au email address). Currently on my Windows 7 laptop I am using Windows Live Mail and have the settings as

    Incoming is a POP3
    Incoming mail server: pop3.vic.exemail.com.au
    Outgoing mail server: mail.vodafone.ie

    and that works perfectly.

    Trying to set it up with Win 8.1 it's telling me there is a problem connecting to the SMTP mail server.
    Then settings currently are:
    server address: mail.vodafone.ie. Port 25 .... I don't know if i need this - it was there automatically.

    Any help would be great.
