Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Iphone 4s - Logo flashes on and off when trying to boot

I recently gave my brother in law an iPhone 4s which I picked up a few months ago. There was a couple of issues with it which I had repaired (battery replaced - non OEM I'm guessing and the power button replaced). As he's in Italy and we're trying to communicate in Italian  I'm doing my best to figure out the issue he's having.

Basically, when he powers the phone off manually and goes to power it back on he gets the Apple Logo only and it flashes on and off continuously but the phone will not boot. It can be restored using iTunes but it's a massive pain!

To date I don't think he's had any issue if the battery has died. It will restart once charged again. I hope this is the case because it kinda eliminates the problem.

I suspect the replacement battery has something to do with it as I've read a couple of things online but I really have no idea. Anybody have experience with this issue?
