Cheers P. Lot of ankle twisting that lead to the right knee tightening up or at least the soft tissue around it. Not too bad today, once I got moving. Foam rolling and lots of massage loosening everything up.

Hope it's better soon, take it easy anyway :)

Is this a hair restoration report before I go any further?

Reading and visualising, reading and visualising.

I'm at the stage 13 days out where I am dreaming segments of the race. I can picture conversations, at night, and decisions being made on nav, at night.

A bit surreal to wake up and realise what was happening. Almost a sense of deja vu about the whole thing. Yet to dream about a daytime leg of the race. I'm still trying to identify the location of the dreams, maybe get an insight on the course :)

Rashers are the backbone of my food.

Can you imagine the stampede I'll cause in transition when I start frying up rashers after 50/60 hours of racing?!

€20 for a lick of a rasher!!! Get back in line!!! :)

Do you carry that with you or will it be left in a kit area?

I'd love to have a rig up like that!! Fresh brewed coffee and fried rashers will be like mana from heaven.

We have a food box which is brought from transition to transition. I think we accessed it twice (?) last year. You restock whatever you need to carry on the stages. In theory you could pack a cooker once you remove half the cous cous we brought last year (weight limit on boxes) :D

Cracking evening yesterday for a swim. 3rd OW swim of the year, this one with a wetsuit. It was a completely different experience :)

The difference 24hrs makes. I got as wet on my run today as I did swimming last night. Fliuch baite!!!!!

    The big question:
There has been lots of guessing as to where the beast will be heading this year? Somewhere new? or revisiting old favourites? So which county do people think we'll be starting in this year?

    :D

    9 sleeps.....

Been stiff as a board after the Moxie for most of the week. Was invited out for a run on Thursday night to recce the route of the proposed Tribesman Track & Trail 10k. A twisty turney, route that has loads of changes of surface.

    Nice route.

My legs weren't interested for the first 3k, then slowly woke up over the next 5k and then wanted to keep going after the 10! :)

    Spend the day organising gear.

MTB back from service, new chain, cassette, brake pads, discs front and back and a check over. Not bad for €105 I thought.

Brought it out for 20k to bed in and check all ok. Slight catch tooth on chain on big ring, I much have rounded a tooth on a rock. Quick belt of the grinder and 100%

Wash, dry and polish. Lights, map board and carriers all checked & fitted. We're good to go!! :)
