Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Man Utd v West Ham - 27th Sep 2014 - K/O 15:00pm - Setanta Ireland

  • 26-09-2014 8:43pm
    #1

Teenage defender Paddy McNair could make his first-team debut against West Ham on Saturday after Louis van Gaal's Manchester United squad was decimated by injury.

Tyler Blackett (suspended), Jonny Evans (ankle), Chris Smalling (thigh) and Phil Jones (hamstring) are all out, which leaves Marcos Rojo as Van Gaal's only fit senior centre half.

Left-back Luke Shaw is expected to make his debut, but midfielders Ashley Young (groin), Michael Carrick (ankle), Jesse Lingard (knee) and Marouane Fellaini (ankle) are unavailable.

West Ham will be without midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate for Saturday's trip to Manchester United.
The Senegal international has been ruled out with a groin injury suffered in the 3-1 win over Liverpool and could be missing for up to six weeks.

Captain Kevin Nolan is back in training following a fractured shoulder but will not be considered at Old Trafford, whilst Matt Jarvis (thigh) is in a similar position.

Joey O'Brien (knee) and Andy Carroll (ankle) are also missing but James Collins is in contention to start after coming off the bench last weekend.

My predictions: Goals for either side is an evens odd bet. A near cert to happen considering our current defensive situation but vice versa goals should be scored with the obvious strengh in attack.

Should still be a Man Utd win but just about: 3-2

Ha, I forgot all about Ashley Young until I read his name there :pac:

    De Gea
    Raf
    Thorpe
    Rojo
    Shaw
    Blind

    Ander
    Angel

    Rooney

    Falcao
    RvP

I would like to see Mata in there but not sure it will happen

We have some attacking options in fairness, I have come over with a huge wave of optimism, I expect us to blow away West Ham tomorrow.

Thorpe & McNair are in the squad for tomorrow.http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2014/Sep/tom-thorpe-and-paddy-mcnair-in-manchester-united-squad-for-west-ham-match.aspx?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=ManUtd

This could finish 7-4.Falcao to grab 3,RVP with 2 and a couple for Di Maria. Our defence will continue to be as solid as usual:o

We just need to get the blend of attack and defense right. We're a bit like a partly functioning real madrid team at the moment, no balance at all. We were blowing Leicester away last week until the peno, but we fell apart after that and fair play to Leicester they capitalised and we couldn't deal with it. I don't think we'll make the same mistake twice though.

    I'm going for a 3 or 4-1 win.

2-1 is my call for the score. Not quite sure which team will win though.

At home, if not away as well, United are almost nailed on to score more than one goal. It's how many they concede that is harder to call.

We need 3 points here, our easy run comes to an end and our points tally so far tells a different story. Everton, City, and Chelsea in the next 4

After last week, a West Ham win and both teams to score would look a tasty bet, especially considering our most experienced centre back tomorrow has never played a game for us there

    Hoping we can outscore them

Did I mention Big Sam has lost his last 10 in a row at Old Trafford, be a right time to buck the trend ;)

United fans who have UPC are rejoicing.

Hate seeing Mata on the bench.
Was unfortunate to see Kagawa go, hope we are not going to see another no.10 leave too.

Edit: That is one weak ass bench.

Mata benched again, rough deal for him. When I see RVP Rooney and Falcao it just sounds unbalanced

This is a must win game. If we are serious about pushing for the top 4 then there is no excuse for not beating teams like West Ham. After last weeks utter capitulation anything less than a comfortable win is not acceptable.
