    Hi

I am looking for recommendations for a car - its going to be the main car for the family - 2 young children - want something reliable/affordable about 5k & fuel efficent.
Was thinking of 2004-2007 VW golf tdi, toyota avensis or corolla either (petrol or diesel) - not sure if petrol avensis would be very expensive to run.
    Any make/model/advise appreciated.
    Thanks

What sort of annual mileage would you be doing?

    Something like this might work:

The only downside is they go through a fair amount of ignition coils. Would be worth getting all 4 done at the first sign of trouble imo as otherwise it's annoying. Plenty of choice but that ones just an example.

They have decent space, are well screwed together, good spec, are light on petrol but aren't the nicest car to drive and a little tinny feeling.
