According to the info page sent out with my number there is no 1:45 pace group. Not sure which is correct, Maybe Whatsthisabout could confirm?

Got my number today. #999 so I'll be easy to pick out :pac:

There seems to be a few from these parts racing so might as well stick up a table.

There is no 1:45 pace group, the pacers are every 10 mins from 1.30 - 2.10
Looks like it's going to be an ideal day for it, cool and quite calm :)

SB, make sure you don't pin your race number on upside down or people will think they're running with Lucifer :)

How many race ties should there be? Should there be just 1 or 1 for each show? Never used these before.

    @ tcdstudent
how many timing chips did you get?
Should be just one chip & one tie for one shoe (you choose left or right :) )

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,460 ✭✭✭✭Murph_D

Do you not just run it through your shoelace?

Not if want to unlace after the race to give the chip back

  • Registered Users Posts: 601 ✭✭✭Slow_Runner

Didn't get a cable tie with mine, looks like it's disposable chip so I assumed you run it through your laces.

I got one wire tie (like the ones you use on freezer bags) but tbh I wouldnt trust it to stay put.

You can run it through your lace or use the twist tie. We will have some people snipping them off for people at the end but it is not essential to give this type of chip back it is a semi disposable chip.

Can't find anything on website about a bag drop. Will there be one? Might be important for people who have to park at the overflow area?

  • Registered Users Posts: 256 ✭✭MacSwifty

Overflow area is only a jog away - no bag drop i would imagine

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,433 ✭✭✭run_Forrest_run

fcuk sake, met.ie says moderate to fresh southwesterly winds...I am only getting over the wind in Dublin...at least it won't be 16 degrees tomorrow :D

No bag drop - that can't be true

  • Registered Users Posts: 85 ✭✭Whatsthisabout

There is no bag drop per se. If you need to drop a bag you can do so in one of the changing rooms. There are 8 of them and they are large. The overflow is about 1.5k up the road.

Really enjoyed the race today cheers to everyone who gave their time and expertise to the proceedings! The start was a little chaotic but thats often the case. I'll throw up a race report later when my brain has settled down.
