PS3 Hard Drive Upgrade

Hi, was thinking of upgrading my 80gb PS3. Any suggestions/recommendations or glowing reviews from certain types from anyone who has had it done.

I was thinking of 500gb, 5400rpm. Nothing too fancy.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

For the PS3 you need a 2.5 inch drive and go for the 5400 RPM as thats what it was designed for.

Last year my 250GB in my Pushing 4 years old PS3 silm failed so i had to replace it and i went for this

Just make sure when ordering you now what thickness the Hard drive is as it has to be a fairly silm 2.5 inch to fit into the PS3

Yeah, not interested in anything higher than 5400RPM

There is no point of going higher than a 5400rpm drive anyway as the PS3 wil not take advantage of a faster drive anyway. It's just the way it's filing system works. I went with a Samsung 1Tb HDD myself over 2 years ago and it's great with all the PS+ content over the past 2 years.
