Kawasaki H2R

Kawasaki are kind of using the legendary H2 name on their newest big HP bike, the H2R.
1000cc supercharged 4cyl 4stroke.
Have a look at the red hose feeding the airbox, thats the feed from the blower mounted just above the clutch.
They are claiming 300hp and the bike will be for track use only.
There will also be a street version though....

Its a sexy lookin bike but it looks like two different bikes stuck together. The front looks different to the tank and back, like its been decapitated and its slowly dropping off.

Apparently Kawasaki has done a lot of testing in their own wind tunnel facility in Gifu.
So plenty of thought has gone into it despite it looking like it is.
Who knows it may look a lot better in the flesh?

Back wheel is too far back even beyond the fairing, front looks nice but needs work IMHO.

A lad i no recently bought a Ducati Panigale and he says its the quickest bike he has ever rode but this would have the best part of 100bhp on it

As was said above the front wings are crap looking but in reality id imagine they are there for a genuine reason

I think they are around 50k stg or thereabouts.
Built to ride around a track, I bet most of them will be snapped up as collectors items and stuck in a warm shed somewhere.
Instant classic IMO, I just admire their balls to makes such an awesome machine.
When KTM are coming out saying that XXX hp is too much and agreeing with the dead hand of powerlimiting Eurocrats, Kawasaki just extends the middle finger and shows them what balls are.

Test rides will be interesting to see if that power can be delivered onto the road. Road version too.

I don't think there's ever been a production supercharged bike from a mainstream manufacturer??

Should work well, the plumbing/packaging is easier than a turbo, and no lag.
