The govt will brazen the whole thing out.
Tell us hiw good they are not to include water charges in this budget and then in december 2015, hit us with water charge increases.

While i admire those who protested today, my head says the whole thing will be dismissed by the arrogant shower in leinster house.

More than likely it will, but what I am hoping is that the many people who are absolutely scared sh1tless about this and are to afraid to even turn up to the march today, will now see all of those people and say to themselves that they are not on their own and maybe not pay like the rest of the people who were at the march today, the less that pay the better.

Nah, let's shave €20 a week off the dole and state pension for a couple of years instead.

It's all just diverting funds and that won't infringe on anyones human rights.

20E off the dole will take money directly out of the economy. Selling armoured cars will produce much needed revenue to fix pipes.

What was the price per unit for a mowag?

There are about 100 of them.

I'll make it easy total military spending in below 0.5 gdp which is an utter shame for a start

There's less than 54 several of which were damaged in the golan heights

Cut the dole and cut taxes for workers more money for the economy.
Free child care and crèches for working parents give back to those who work and have suffered most from usc and tax increases

According to wiki there are 80.

They cost 1.3 million euro each.

    A waste of money.

They should be sold to provide for basic human rights.

Far from useless ask the people of eithrea, East Timor , golan heights , Lebanon.

So no crèches for working parents who pay mortgages usc and tax .

About 27,000,000. Assuming there are 54 left.

But that's is just a start. There is other military equipment that can be sold.

Here, a "scab" is bravely prevented from entering the evil corporation headquarters. This group of brave socialist rebels must be so proud. Nothing to do with IW, but posted by the same core group of "activists". I feel pretty bad for the woman here who is obviously intimidated and upset, and ultimately is prevented from going to work.

    *Looks up wikipedia*

    Id sell 20 of these - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RG_Outrider

And 50% of all other military vehicles. Saving on fuel and maintenance expenditure and generate revenue through their sale.

Or do you suppose we will need them for something important?

I say this as a bit of a 'leftie' and as someone who runs his own business.

Disgraceful. The folk who harassed that girl should take a long hard look at themselves tbh.

Lol, sell our military equipment that is being used to protect people's human rights/lives on peacekeeping missions in wartorn countries to provide a tiny amount of funding towards Irish people not having to pay for the human right to water because some of them are too scabby to pay.

The anti campaign really does just boil down to: '**** the lot of yis, I'm not payin'

You see the thing is, we are already paying. Its just that it is being squandered on what seems to be foreign military expeditions (since no domestic justification has been put forth here).
