Uh, "hate speech"? More like Truth-telling. And Trump understands this portion of the "Californian electorate" (you're assuming of course those violent people are eligible to vote at all) very well. I've already seen numerous posts all over Youtube and Twitter from people who were undecided now firmly in the Trump Camp thanks to these events being broadcast all over America.
Yeah, a few YouTube & Twitter commenters (who we don't know whether they're real accounts or Drumpf*ck sockpuppets) are really going to overturn his ~7% deficit to Clinton.

Yes because what immigrants want more than anything else is to overthrow a couple of centuries of liberal democracy :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

There's no conspiracy there's just noticeable behavioural patterns with predictable results. Immigrants unless they assimilate (and we're now told it's racist to ask them to) will adopt the same voting patterns that they had in their home countries. Which for Mexico means voting for who they're told to, voting for people they know are corrupt or voting for free stuff. Post 1960 Immigrants vote 8:2 for the Democrats. They don't care as much about the actual issues, if they did, Mexico wouldn't be the way it is and they wouldn't be leaving it in the first place. Democrats are trying to stack the deck so they can win elections from mercenary voters.

Heavy protests against Trump in Anaheim, Costa Mesa, and Burlingame shows that Trump does not understand the California electorate in the slightest. Simpleminded labeling of them as left or socialist or Democratic or whatever will not win the state. Trump may or may not win the Republican California primary 7 June 2016, but he can forget winning the 55 ECs from the largest state, because his continuing hate speech has caused too much damage to his campaign. In a close election between Clinton and Trump, California could make the difference. It takes 270 ECs to win 8 November 2016 and California holds 55/270 ECs or 20.4% of the votes to win.

Yeah these protesters are really hurting Trump's campaign. He should really tone down his rhetoric to appeal to the flag burners.

This video also applies to my post above this.

    No, but these fools might.

What anti-Trumpkins don't understand is that Trump is the only one looking for the American vote. They'll understand about 5 minutes into his inaugural address.

American man needs police escort to wear hat in California.

Ahhhh, the old Anglo American tradition of harassing and intimidating private citizens for having a different opinion.

Right, this thread is starting to veer off-topic. Let's get back on track please folks. Things like immigration and globalisation are valid but this thread is ultimately about the election and the next president.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

The two leading candidates for the Republican are Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. Both of them want to secure "the" border by building a wall. Notably they only want to secure the southern border that keeps latinos out and they use anti-latino rhetoric to gain support for those proposals. This is at a time where more Mexicans are leaving the US than moving to the US. Why on Earth would a Mexican immigrant vote for Trump or Cruz over a Democrat that's willing to stand up for them and not make them out to be rapists or drug dealers? It's like expecting a Catholic to vote for the DUP in Northern Ireland.

Conversely on the above post, given that the same immigrants, at least according to other US commentators, are responsible for both wage stagnation and a significant demographic upheavel in the US then the converse, white voters who believe in such in America are unlikely to be supportive of Democrats who support such immigration. As per the Austro-Hungarian empire of yore (Ring of Steel by Watson), identity politics of such scale are not conducive to a stable society in troubled times.

The real question is why is a Mexican immigrant coming to America to vote for Mexican interests? Why is a Mexican immigrant voting in America at all? Surely there's a conflict of interest.

Your question also assumes that Mexicans will vote for a pro-latino Republican for president. They won't unless the Republicans stop being Republicans and start trying to buy welfare votes. As the party of the middle class, Republicans will never get any traction with Mexican immigrants and Trump is the only one smart enough to realise it.

As for securing the border with Mexico and not Canada, is there a major drug cartel operating with impunity in Canada? Are there millions of poor Canadians streaming across the border to America?

Why is it okay for Mexico to have a fence on its border with Guatemala and not okay for America to have a border wall with Mexico?

The real question is why should an American president ever have to grovel for the votes of foreigners with no loyalty to the country? Why should Americans be getting out-voted by foreigners?

It's not white voters vs latino. It's American vs immigrant. It's the blacks in California who have lost the most from immigration. You can't work in the service industry in California unless you speak Spanish, effectively demoting the black working class to the black underclass. Democrats will never tell their black voters this, but they will assure them that the unemployment checks will keep on coming as long as they don't vote for the racist Republicans.

People such as yourself always seem to forget that America is a nation that was literally built on immigration. Imagine gaining the right to vote comes with becoming a citizen, so problem?

I didn't forget, I think it's irrelevant. You must establish the relevance of historical waves of (mostly European) immigration to current immigration policy (which makes it harder for Europeans), because logically, it doesn't seem like it should have any bearing whatsoever.

By the same token many believe America was built on slavery, segregation and genocide. Best not break with tradition, eh? The logic of your argument is frankly infantile.

And yes, and when citizenship ceremonies are being conducted in Spanish there is a major problem.

Built on European immigration, by Europeans.

You can't complain about immigrants voting for Democrats while simultaneously defending Republican policies that alienate those voters. Do you complain about homosexuals that vote Democrat because of the anti-gay rhetoric that Republicans engage in?

There aren't millions of people pouring in from Canada much the same way there aren't millions of poor people pouring in from Mexico. As highlighted by the WSJ article I linked in my previous post.

Mexico's wall is a waste of money just like the United States's wall is.

Only US citizens can vote in presidential elections. Applying for citizenship of the US is a big display of loyalty. Even if they move back to Mexico they'll still have to file US tax returns as long as they have citizenship. Pretending they have no loyalty is ridiculous.

Yes, I'm sure Lupe the maid's tax burden is just crushing.

You certainly can complain about immigrants voting for the Democrats. Immigrants shouldn't be voting.

The question is not, what should Republicans do to appeal to the new arrivals, the real question is why can't the Democrats get Americans to vote for them?

The Democrats are doing exactly what New Labour have now admitted to doing under Blair, which is to flood the country with as many 3rd world immigrants as possible and render conservatism irrelevant as a political force.

These people come from countries where corruption is accepted as a fact of life. The government is about either getting what you can for free from the taxpayer or getting elected and giving positions to all your family members, case in point Marco Rubio.

No, I heard it from Andrew Nether, former speech writer to Tony Blair.

As did everyone else who understands the issues beyond sarky Young Turk tier remarks.

Democrats can get Americans to vote for them. Hence the current president being a Democrat.

If Central American Government was all about getting free stuff from the Government then Central American Governments should spend more as a percentage of GDP than America shouldn't they? Wikipedia's page on Government spending shows all Central American countries spending less as a percentage of GDP. If anything you should be stopping the flow of Canadian and European immigrants and encouraging the flow of Central American immigrants if you're worried about the expansion of the welfare state.

Just to be clear. Only US Citizens can vote in the USA.

You have to have a green card for five years before you can apply for citizenship.

That's right, I forgot that black people just stood idly by while everyone else built America. I'm sure you think they were busy claiming welfare and voting for the Democrats (who favoured slavery and Jim Crow laws) while all the white people did the work and voted Republican.

Its Neather actually and he clarified and contradicted that years ago. Of course that doesn't stop it being re-hashed and mis-represented by right wing nutters in the UK - or on US TV.

Who's sniping? Someone posts a re-hash of a long discredited myth and gets called on it. Is that "sniping"?

I gave up on this thread some time back as the modding was a joke. It clearly hasn't improved so bye bye - again.
