Early exit polls and results in show a big lead for Donald and smaller than expected for Hillary.

Winner of the state gets 30.
Winner of each county gets 3. So possible 57.

Looking at the Guardian map there is way too many counties for that to work though?

*Edit... turns out its distributed by congressional district... of which there are nine
    So: 27 for the state
    27 for the 9 districts @ 3 each
and 3 more GOP national committee member delegates.

So far Trump has been allocated 45, Cruz yet to be assigned any.

lol, Trump's "SAD!" on tweets is much mimicked on Twitter by the fun #Altright :)

Another beautiful night for Trump, enjoying watching the #NeverTrump members cry.

Trump @54% at present, an amazing result. I hope Cruz drops out, as I almost felt sorry for him this week, the ongoing humiliation is hard to witness!

With 1/7th of the Dems tallied, there is nothing between Bernie & Hillary.

Sanders leads by 26 votes with 140k counted!

Ted Cruz to announce his cabinet tomorrow

    And (perhaps) interestingly....

With both sides now about 1/6th complete, Donny has polled around the same amount of votes as Bernie & Hillary combined.

Indiana is starting to feel the Bern as Sanders overtakes Clinton.

.... Yes, I will update vote-by-vote...... you are welcome!

Is this a blue or red state?

    Red.... but not overwhelmingly.

Usually GOP for the presidency (except for Barry in 2008) & currently has a GOP governor.

Ted Cruz is such a failure. his firewall of Indiana to stop Trump, and now it looks like Trump could win all the delegates from that state.

Apparently Cruz was focusing on things like transsexuals and the toilets they use, while Trump was focusing on things like a company moving 1400 jobs from Indiana to Mexico.
Yes a lot of people are socially conservative, but then a lot of socially conservative people apply it to themselves and not to the lives of others and things like their job is more important than what toilet a person uses.

Cruz is going after the extreme and something that will never win the GOP an election.

When it came to spending on Indiana, this is the money spent on the campaign there:
    Ted Cruz $2.8 million.
    The anti-Trump campaign $2.6 million
    Donald Trump $900k

    Possible Delegates:
    Cruz 0%
    Trump 100%

CNN mentioning wrt add buys in Indiana

    Cruz: $2.8m
    Anti-Trump pacs: $2.6m

    The Donald: $0.9m

    devastating.

    Bernie beginning to move clear

    Snap robert!

That is so stark for Cruz.

It is as embarrassing as Rubio losing Florida in a near clean sweep to Trump. Tonight is so damaging for Cruz. Trump is gaining so much momentum and a winner is what people like to support, or a likeable underdog. Cruz is neither.
Cruz has won the most conservative states, and the eastern half of the US is Trump country.

With what Kasich did, it was like siding with Cruz and helping Trump.

I still believe the best ticket for the general election would be a Trump/Kasich ticket.

I am delighted for Ted Cruz, I don't like Hillary Clinton, but I dislike Cruz more.

I like Fiorina, shame she shackled herself to that tea-party nut.

Fiorina drops out of the primaries twice

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,750 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

May 3rd, a huge day for the GOP, Trump for the Presidency.

It's baffling she allowed herself into this truly humilating spot at all.Maybe the 500,000 dollar donation she received from the Cruz Campaign explains it ;)

TRUMPTRAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait until he starts on Hillary full time, and even better while she still has to deal with Bernie :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Time for bed. What a night. Trump romps Indiana, Bernie takes down Hillary, Cruz quits and John Kasich sees his path to victory become clearer!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,161 ✭✭✭Amazingfun

Kasich is being trolled to death on Twitter, lol.....let's hope his promised morning speech is an exit.

Good to see Cruz gone. Was worried how awful he is was being overshadowed by Trump.

I'd say his backers said " eh lad that's it ".

Great night if you are a Trump supporter !!!!

Yeah sorry. Couldn't remember the name and took a punt on county. Wrong evidently.
Cruz is really a pathetic politician. There is so much to attack Trump on and he goes with transgenders in bathrooms? Not that he would have been any better a nominee than Trump. It was always a pity the GOP was going to nominate one of them. To think I miss Romney!

Good night for Sander's message. Not a good one for a crazy comeback as it is not near enough to mount a comeback with.
