I was watching the NV convention from the start. Absolute sh!t show, and the rule violations were caught on video for the world to see. Expect major lawsuits to follow. They took a vote before all the delegates had arrived, and then they made a motion to end the convention, took the "yea" vote, and declared it over before actually listening to the "nays". The most blatant suppression of democracy we've seen so far in this primary, and that's saying a lot.

EDIT: Video of the aforementioned, sound quality not great as it was filmed from a TV screen, will try to find another

Will Trump release his tax returns, as other presidential candidates have done for decades past? If not, why not? Such tax return information can be quite revealing in terms of what he considers appropriate write-offs, gains and losses, potential conflict of interests investments, as well as one piece of data that can be used with other data sources to confirm or disconfirm his claimed net worth (the billionaire net worth item he has used numerous times from the podium to show how successful he is as a businessman, thereby suggesting that it's a so-called presidential qualification).

Will Hillary release her Goldman Sachs transcripts?

Does anyone want a degree from Trump University founded in 2005 by (presidential candidate) Donald Trump? Trump University is a defendant in 3 class action lawsuits filed in New York and California. It's questionable that it was actually a "University," although that was part of its official name. National Review reports it was a bait-and-switch scheme; i.e., scam by Trump. New York County Supreme Court Judge Cynthia Kern made the decision at a hearing (26 April 2016 Fox News report) that the alleged fraud case against Trump University will be tried, perhaps as early as this Fall 2016, whereupon Trump will be called to testify as a defendant.

If Trump claims that he is qualified to be president based upon his past experiences, what does Trump University suggest about such qualifications?

A lot of weird stuff coming out about the Donald at the moment now that people are really digging into stuff and I reckon there is A LOT of stuff there that the Dems are holding on to just waiting to pounce.

    Won't release his tax affairs

Him posing as a fake publicity agent for himself for 20 years just to spread stories like Madonna wanting to date him etc......

His butler saying on Facebook that Obama should have been shot! And when confronted to clarify, he said no he should have been hung instead...

Won't say what his tax rate is.

The Washington Post have assigned 20 journalists' full time to go over his business dealings for the past 40 year's and they are going to dig up some serious stuff I reckon. But I have been wrong about him all along and his supporters are blind to any negative stories for some reason.

He has being saying from the start the voting system is rigged and all these journalists are proving him correct. How is it that he reached this stage before incriminating evidence was presented to the public? The media saw him as a farce so ignored him concentrating on the rest of the GOP nominees and now the media is rushing to search deep into Donald's past. Mind you the media were slow to learn of the Clinton's ex-marital affair.

The really shocking part is that nothing will get done. If anything remotely like what we've seen during this primary in terms of voter suppression and other shenanigans was to happen here in Ireland, people would be prosecuted and election results would be declared unsound and invalid. In America, they get temporarily suspended until the furore dies down and then reinstated, with absolutely nothing done to redress the fact that the election result is unsafe.

Nice to see so much uproar at caucus shenanigans, a pity none of this outrage and uproar could be heard for the Clark County conventions, when the Committee chair, Christine Kramar, had to be removed for blatantly misinforming Clinton supporters (despite Clinton winning the first round of delegate selections in February). All the more reason to remove the Caucus system outright and just replace it with a simple primary I say.

That's what happens when you have a federal system that is bloated and has to accommodate 50 states. Each state should have a professional voting administration. I am not going to lecture the Americans on what formula they use to elect their leaders. It has worked since the foundation of the republic only this time in the last 100 years or so American territory has increased, more new states have been added and ones that were always corrupt are being shown for what they are.

Given these considerations, Mary Fallin, Republican Governor of Oklahoma might be one for Trump to seriously consider. She also has conservative credentials, so this might serve to draw in the GOP conservatives that are unhappy with a middle-of-the-road Trump? Susana Martinez Governor of New Mexico, as well as being chairwoman of the Republican Governors Association may attract the Hispanic voter demographic, given that there has never been an Hispanic VP in US history. I've also heard Nikki Haley's name thrown about, the Southern Carolina Governor, who gave the Republican reply to Obama's 2016 State of the Union Address. She is also a possibility, but methinks Mary Fallin or Susana Martinez would be better choices. Who knows?

The worst choice Trump could pick would be Carson,

Haley is very unlikely, she would be a coup, but she endorsed Rubio and Trump has already ruled her out.

She has been highly critical of Trump in the past and they had a public fight on twitter and she has also said not interested.

    http://edition.cnn.com/2016/03/01/politics/nikki-haley-donald-trump-bless-your-heart/

Its not impossible, but a lot of work would need to be done to bring them together. Hayley is young and popular, she may be content to swerve this election and run in four years time and serve what will probably be a freak show this election.

Martinez would also be a coup, but also endorsed Rubio and has been critical of Trump and has numerous times said she does not want the vice role. She like Haley could be lured onto the ticket, but both would be nervous of upsetting their core support in the long term especially if either are eyeing a run in 2020.

I think Fallin while nowhere near as big as coup (I know, overuse) as Haley and Martinez, would be much less hassle than both of the above, she has praised him when she can, and only the other week Trump said it would be a great idea for her to be vice.

Carson would be a horror pick, absolutely as bland as you could get. I don't think Christie would add much either, Kasich while a dull choice would be the best bet of all the failed republican runners as at very least he would ensure Trump gets Ohio and could be useful in helping relations with moderate republicans who loathe Trump.

Trump should pick a female VP who is not afraid to take on his obnoxious views about women and society in general. Is their any Republican women who can be a standard bearer for a Trump presidency? Repudiate the awful and silly stuff he comes out with and balances it with intelligence and kinder attitude to the electoral. Maybe someone who has a resonance with Sanders supporters.

Trump address's the criticism from Cameron and Kahn.

Good to see the mainstream media "stopping islamic immigration will only aid Islamic terrorism" lie being challenged by Trump once again.

The Nevada democratic party chairwomen is getting very abusive text messages and phone calls. Quite a bit of anger over the convention.

Come on, people. You should know by know. Trump supporters don't listen to his words; they hear him talking and decide what it suits them to believe he means.

Non pc comment: Remember when people used to talk about the great white hope in heavyweight boxing? That's Trump in a nutshell.

Doesn't mean he doesn't raise valid points but that seems to be a big part of his support base.

A female, or male for that matter, in the GOP that would appeal to socialist Sanders supporters? Good one! ;)

Pretty much the only case of that happening are the tiny contingent of "Berniebros" who'd vote Trump just to stick it to the "Washington establishment".

Glad he credited Scott Adams, as he has been saying all this from the very start of the campaign: Trump is going to win, and his incredible NLP-ish, persuasion skills, are why. It's great fun following Trump's daily adventures, watching all this in action-especially when those who hate him try to claim he is stupid, lol.

    Oregon votes tonight!

Close early doors on the dem side in Kentucky

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

    Bernie beginning to edge away

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Only 200 votes in it with 93% reporting!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,161 ✭✭✭Amazingfun

Wow, verrrry close race in Kentucky, but looks like Crooked Hillary wins it.
Less than 1% between them with 99% of the vote in, tough times for the Bernie supporters.

Bit funny to see the top Dems like Boxer et all whining now about the violence from Bernie people, lol
    http://edition.cnn.com/2016/05/17/politics/democrat-bernie-sanders-revolt/

***update: Bernie wins Oregon, so onwards he goes.

Also: I watched his California rally tonight, and he pandered to just about every single racial group in America- except Whites.
    It was pretty nauseating.

As you probably already know but conveniently leave out, Trump was talking about illegals and the crimes they commit in America when that specific comment was made. We never hear a word of care nor concern about the victims of crimes from Bernie or Hillary, might affect their target "minority" of the day, and we couldn't have that!

While pointing to a study showing mexican illegal immigrants are rape victims. Since they are all Mexican and illegal immigrants are those victims rapists too?

There isn't anything to show that A: the people who raped them are in the US. And
B: that the attackers are all Mexican (there is money in this I reckon a few people smugglers come from elsewhere)
C: That Mexicans who smuggle illegal immigrants across the border make up a significant proportion of Mexican illegal immigrants (surely you would keep your head down after entering ilegally and leave that to the gangs?). If it is the same few gangs attacking these women then the issue is not illegal immigrants but the gangs.
